    Date Reviewed: September 11, 2003
    Favorite Trail:Colorado trails
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
    Price Paid: $650.00
    Purchased At:Ride Bicycles
Strengths:Tire is a harder compound so it wears well. Has good traction on dirt, loose rock, and mud. It is a pretty light tire compared to some.
Weaknesses:Bigger lugs would help it do even better in deep mud. Side walls are thin and require lots of pressure to keep the tire from rolling (side to side). This helps keep it light.
Similar Products Used:Wal-mart brand junk, also tried a kenda from local bike shop.
Bike Setup:Schwinn S-30 Full suspension bike. These tires came stock on bike. Still have Original front after 6 years (worn bad)
Bottom Line:This is a great all around tire for both traction and wear. Not the best if you do lots of riding in deep mud or if you do street/road riding only!

Favorite Trail:anything between the bus stop and my GF's house
    Duration Product Used:6 months
    Price Paid: $25.00
    Purchased At:my local Schwinn dealer
    Strengths:durabibly
    Weaknesses:none
    Similar Products Used:none
    Bike Setup:hybrid
Bottom Line:these were some great tires I do alot of riding on pavement and they wear very well. I am going to get a new Schwinn and plan on switching them to that bike. I believe if you want a good quality tire these are it

    Date Reviewed: March 6, 2002
    Favorite Trail:the one outside
    Duration Product Used:2 Years
    Price Paid: $100.00
    Purchased At:dealer
Strengths:price (bike was 2 years old, never ridden), strong frame, bike is much lighter then it looks,
Weaknesses:wha, no detachable derailer hanger?! cheap derailer (broke 3 in the first 2 months) fork <-sucks!
Bottom Line:This is by no means a hardcore racing bike. If your just a weekend warrior, whos clumbsy, and has a habit of running into trees, this frame will not fail you. cant say the same about the derailer though.

    Date Reviewed: June 2, 2001
    Favorite Trail:Red Bridge
    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Purchased At:came with bike
    Strengths:Durable, climb well in dry
    Weaknesses:heavy, don't climb well wet
Similar Products Used:IRC Mythos XC, WTB Velociraptor, Panaracer Dart, Michelon (sp) Wild Gripper Comp
Bottom Line:These came on my first mountain bike a few years ago. I rode them for 1 summer and have now switched them to my hucking and trials bike. They ride just fine and are totally durable. I ride them off of anything you can find in a city and I've never had a flat. The only flat I've ever had with these tires was when I ran over a nail. They are a little heavy and slow, but they are durable and very good for a beginner or someone not wanting to spend the time and money replacing tires every year.

    Date Reviewed: January 21, 2001
    Favorite Trail:Markham
    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Price Paid: $35.00
    Purchased At:Whealer Dealer
    Strengths:Good grip on quick uphills
    Weaknesses:Weight
    Bike Setup:cannondale SuperV
Bottom Line:I go over 200 lbs. and couldn't get a good grip with the IRC Notos that came with the bike. These tires give me the added bite to maintain momentum on uphills as well as good turning grip. I've lost cornering bite with the IRCs but not with the Moabs.

    Date Reviewed: July 12, 2000
    Favorite Trail:Beskid Zywiecki, Poland
    Duration Product Used:1 Year
    Strengths:Great grip, durability
    Weaknesses:weight
    Bike Setup:Mesa GSX
Bottom Line:Sucks! I just changed to Specialized Cevlar 1.7 and hope to get a better performance from them.
The tire gave me a lot of flats (don't really have the experience to tell if it's its fault), is too heavy and too tough on hard surfaces.

    Good grip though, especially rear.

Weaknesses:fall apart on the sidewalls VERY QUICKLY
    NO traction
    Similar Products Used:no name crap
    Bike Setup:99 Schwinn MOab 2
Bottom Line:This tires suck, I only used them because they came stock on my new bike. One word: UPGRADE!

    Favorite Trail:Aspen Loop
    Duration Product Used:1 Year
    Strengths:None
Weaknesses:Tire wore thin on sidewalls causing several flats.
    Similar Products Used:Smoke Dart Maxxis
    Bike Setup:Scwinn S-Carbon
Bottom Line:Came with the bike and were replaced quickly. Would not even sell to someone as a used tire. This tire is dangerous!! Cannot think of any rider that this tire would be good for. It was ashame that I had these on at Moab and ended up spending more time on flat repair than riding. Took the Smoke Dart combo off my Mongoose IBOc and had a great time!!
