Submitted by BMXer a Racer from Tucson, AZ
Date Reviewed: May 21, 1999
Duration Product Used:
6 months
Strengths:
Bullet proof as far as aluminium frames goCenter of gravity is pretty lowpaint job can take a beating
Weaknesses:
fork is shortstem has downward bend40/16 gears a little tall for racing most tracks
Similar Products Used:
Diamondback Assualt 24
Bike Setup:
Diamondback fork and stem
Oddyssey twisted pedals
41/17 gear ratio
XS 3-Piece cranks
Bottom Line:Great bike for racing BMX, fun to ride and good value for the price. I prefer the forks and stem I installed. The bike jumps better and I fell less likely to go over the bars. Many crashes and no damage to paint or bike. The bike has built-in chain tensioner but it vibrates loose regularly. If you want to spend less than $350 check this bike out.
