The first couple of months i rode it the crank arm fell off. Also it is very front heavy adn hte font suspension has no travel and very little give. $140.00 | | Purchased At: | Square Wheels Strathpeffer | | Strengths: | Its got a great feel to the frame, the geometery is just spot on for me, as i ride trails and street. great componet set for the price as well, cos your not gonubg to get a 3-piece crank on a cheap bike, but you do get 42 spoke wheel set, ad990 style brakes, and a Orgy detangler. not bad realy. | | Weaknesses: | the rims are pritty soft aluminium, but you wont buckle it, just dent the hell out off them, the one piece crank WILL bend even if you only ride realy light,but hey, there like 4 bucks to replace so just get a stock of some, or splash out a 3piece. | | Similar Products Used: | Heavy tools, but it sucked | | Bike Setup: | stock, apart from xposer 36 tooth ring and many many new cranks | | Bottom Line: | It is an brilliant starting point, great frame and fork, but just dont expect to go pro it unless you spend some cash on a new crank set | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

They are both chromoly and the fork is oversized so it can take a beating. The frame is a chromoly mainframe so the top, down, and seat tubes are 100% chromoly. But the fork on the other hand is full 100% chromoly. The other good parts are the hubs, [14 millimeter rear, 3/8 front] are not only strong but save weight, the braking system, the old school design 2 piece handle bars, and the super-thick front&rear dropouts. | | Weaknesses: | The crank, because it is a one-piece, the hard plastic seat, and the lay-back seat post. Every thing else is a matter of preference or works just fine. Oh yeah,the chain also comes loose pretty easily, no matter how hard you tighten it. | | Similar Products Used: | I've never tried anything like it! | | Bike Setup: | All stock except for Primo hemmorhoid seat, Primo rod seat post, Primo slim seat clamp, xs 2 piece crank and hoffman chain tensioners. | | Bottom Line: | This bike rules. It only needs a few up-grades to be a pro level high-end bike. Definently needs a new crank, seat, and chain tensioners. Everything else rules. Especially the braking system, [sst oryg, tektro 907/908-990 mount brakes, smooth tektro levers, and detangler plate on the frame. $315.00 | | Purchased At: | village sports | | Strengths: | The frame is exactly the same as the Jay Miron canadian beast, and the fork is the same as Jay's also. The frame and fork are made of 100% 4130 chromoly. All of the parts are pretty much xs which is a good thing. The chromoly 14 millimeter rear and the chromoly 3/8 front along with the xs six shooter hubs are a good combo for almost any rider. This bike is awesome and it is good for all styles of riding. Another cool thing about this bike that I forgot to mention when I was talking about the frame and fork is that they are oversized, they are massive!! The parts package on this machine is pretty much top notch except for the one piece crank and the seat. This thing only needs 2 or 3 up-grades to make it a pro bike it's already decked out with most of the best parts that the xs/schwinn company makes. The brakes stop on a dime even with an sst oryg, machined sidewall alex rims, and black brake pads [thanks to tektro]. There a ton of good things about this bike as you can see.
| | Weaknesses: | There only a few things bad about this bike. One is the crank, it is a one piece and will need to be up-graded to a three piece sometime. The only other bad thing is the seat it is hard plastic, which is good for a flatlander, but not a street/dirt rider. The only other thing is the handlebars. The frame and fork are unbeatable and the parts package is top notch. This bike only needs two or three up-grades to be a top of the line, pro, # 1 bike and it is only $327.00 with tax! It has the same geometry and frame material as the Miron canadian beast too! This bike rules, and the next time you go bike shopping buy the 2000 schwinn powermatic.
