Submitted by John Kearns a Cross Country Rider from Jew Jersey,USA
Date Reviewed: November 30, 2000
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $150.00
Purchased At:A schwinn shop
Strengths:Not to light, and not to heavy, its 4130 cromoly which is heavyer then a pure race BMX, but lighter then a freestyle, nice metal flake red ( comes in silver/grayish and i beleave blue)
Weaknesses:Its not a weakness, but i feel the dropouts could be a little bigger, The rims are great for bmx racing, but they unfortunetly arent the best for dirt jumping which is what i use the bike for. If you jump and land hard, you might bend the 1 piece crank.
Similar Products Used:pro stock comp
Bike Setup:stock, 3 piece crank
Bottom Line:This is a GREAT bike for the price, if your a hard core jumper, go with a joey garcia ( but it will set you back 100-200 more dollers). I use it from rythems and gaps and it holds its ground. Plus if i were to snap one of the tube's on a landing, schwinn replaces it free( but they do this because you really have to try to break a schwinn frame). So far the only problems ive had were in the 1st mounth, id blow out tubes like mad and rip tires right off there beed. I think that was beause at times id ride it like my hardtial mountain bike, but now ive learned certain things NOT to do, and the bike's great. Ill give her 4 flamin' chilis do to the dropouts.
