Bottom Line:the best bike i've ever had. the kind you wanted when you were a kid but your parents wouldn't buy it because they had to pay the rent. The bike all the cool kids had. This bike was bought brand new, we currently allow our 10 year old son to ride it, carefully. As far as marks, scrapes on the pedels and the decal, other then that it's perfect.

Strengths:Really Great for jumpung because of its heavy front end, great bike for aireal tricks.
    Weaknesses:Not real great for weelies!
    Similar Products Used:Redline Rouge.
Bottom Line:If you like bigger bikes with gears than I wouldn't go for this bike becaust thats not what its made for, also if your a person who likes mountain climing with bikes than if you want this bike you might want to think about a different biking aproach (such as downhill or BMX'ing) I love this bike because I am persuing BMX'ing. I had a big Mongoose Moun tain bike but that wasn't what I wanted a little while after I got it so I got a new bike.

Bike Setup:Hoffman jumpin bars, specalized tyres and saddle, hoffman bikes sprocket, diamondback grips and chain tensioners, snafu brake lever

Strengths:this bike has a good solid body, i've gone through stop signs, ramps, and light polls and there isn't a mark on it. The rims can take all kinds of abuse. The xs 3 piece crank is very storng and has sealed bearings. On the front it has seperate peg hookups so you cant bend the axle.
    Weaknesses:Its a little heavy.
    Similar Products Used:Haro.....Mirra Pro
Bike Setup:good welds make the bike strong....and schwinn is good about that. All the Hydramatic comps. are complete with xs components.
Bottom Line:very cool.......spend the extra money and get a solid bike.
Even thuogh its heavy its the best bike i've ever owned.

    Duration Product Used:1 Year
Strengths:After reading a review of the hydramatic comp, I decided that some words were necessary. I agree that the welds are very sano and that the bike setup is sweet. Schwinn's XS component line is gaining respect in a very tough market (thanks in part to sponsored riders Jimmy L., Troy Mc. and other hard-cores). The geometry is a good compromise between ramps and street, and is O.K. for trails. Oh, yeah, the paint is resistant to chipping/peeling and stands up to a lot of wear and tear.
Weaknesses:First, a reminder to all you kids (and burly adults) who are in the market for a competent ride -frames made in Taiwan are not in the same league as one made in some little shop on this side of the ocean. This does not mean that you should hold out from buying the bike because it's going to take three years to save up the dough for something else. It means that bikes (especially, but not exclusively, BMX) made in the states -and Canada, are going to reflect the quality of craftsmanship by the way they ride and in particular, by the way they stand up to abuse. The frame is essentially the heart of the bike and this heart is unnecessarily heavy (without the implicit strength) and broke along the weld on the rear seat-monostay in one year of mildish ramp riding. This does not mean that all Schwinn hydramatics will break in a year! -just note that Jay Miron, though his sig. is on the bike, rides a frame constructed in the states by a small custom frame shop. This sweet machine was re-tweaked this year by Jay to lose some pork without losing any strengh. It is available through Schwinn, but frame/fork alone probably costs more than the whole hydramatic. Jay would break the hydramatic within a week. This frame is too heavy for young riders and too weak for heavy/hardcore slags. I guess it's perfect for strong, but toned-down riders looking for a bike that comes setup with a sweet wheelset, nice parts, and the Canadian Beast's signature on the top tube.
    Similar Products Used:DK S.O.B., S&M N.G. Dirt bike
Bottom Line:Alrighhh, good parts, so-so frame. Buy it -but be nice to it...or save your cash for an S&M, Standard, DK, FBM, Kink, Terrible 1,...you get the picture!

This is one of the nicest freestyle bikes out there. The frame on this sweetie is awesome!!!. Gorgeous weld beads. big-ass 1/4 inch dropouts, massive 4130 steel tubing. Decked with a with a great three peice crank. The paint job was also top notch.
    Weaknesses:

Bottom Line:This is a killer freestyle bike that will take all the abuse you can throw at it. Ive looked at almost everything out there. Schwinn has the best welds, hands down. Nothing else in 4130 steel can touch it. Sweeter than honey!!!. I give this bike 5 sizzling chiles.
