THE HARDROCK IN A MED. SIZE FELT LONG AND TALL, THE MESA, IN A 19IN., FELT LOW AND QUICK AND IS A WHEELING MACHINE. BOTH HAD ABOUT THE SAME PARTS GROUP LEVEL AND PERFORMED GREAT, MESA HAD BETTER FEELING BRAKES, HARDROCK HAD BETTER TIRES, THE MESA JUST FELT MORE LIKE A RIPPING SINGLETRACK MACHINE, THE HARDROCK WAS A HUCKSTER........MESA IS MY KILLER TRAIL BIKE!!!!!!! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$600.00 | | Purchased At: | Port Norfolk Bikes | | Strengths: | Brakes, Frame, Rims and basic construction are top notch. | | Weaknesses: | Factory spring is a little soft. | | Similar Products Used: | Schwinn Mirada sport, Tested-giant iguana disk, Hard rock Pro, Dimondback Topanga | | Bike Setup: | Stock so far | | Bottom Line: | Great balance and steering. Brakes super. It was a toss up between the Giant iguana and the mesa. But the mesa was on sale and got a sweet deal. Overall a great bike. I use it to commute M-F and Singletrack the weekends. I would recomend the giant to a first time rider and don't want to spend the $750 for the mesa at full price, but if you are into riding this is the bike to have. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$700.00 | | Purchased At: | Tony's Queenstown | | Strengths: | Frame Geometry - small and light, Deore group set with LX jockey, Richey weel set and headset. | | Weaknesses: | None so far. There are mixed reviews on the shock, but been fine so far. | | Similar Products Used: | Giant Yukon & Rincon, Haro V4 | | Bike Setup: | Stock | | Bottom Line: | Great frame geometry, slanted top tube. Tight and strong. Be careful, frames are really small. Feels like it has a lower centre to gravity. Great to use on trail and xc rides. Got a real sporty look and there's no real need to upgrade. GREAT BIKE! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
