Bottom Line:
This tire rolls well and offers good trail grip in most conditions. Although it is a narrow 2.1, it grips as well as some larger volume tires.
I use this tire on the front rim of my hardtail and it is perfect for almost all conditions.
This also rolls well on pavement. The tire wears well without wearing out too quickly.

Bottom Line:
super fast tire for xc in 2.1 inch version. sheds mud very easily and really digs in for out of saddle riding on aggressive hills. For summer go for a Racing Ralph because of its superior racing abilities(if you race)and everything else the jimmy will cover it. Keep in mind with the 2.25 version you can run a low/lower pressure in xc and all mountain situations.

Strengths:
Grippy tire, behaves predictable going into wet corners. Good uphill traction and good in semi-muddy conditions.
Weaknesses:
Too grippy on dry pack, slows you down a lot. The small knobs give you grip but also slow you down a lot when the track hardens. In sandy corners it starts to drift.

Not to heavy, low rolling resistanse, good grip in dry conditions.
Weaknesses:
The grip on wet roots and rocks is not god. The stability could be better.

Then I first tested this tires I noticed a much better grip, but more unstable compared to my Bontrager tires. Because of the poor performens on wet roots and rocks I have now changed to Panaracer Cinder. However this tires is a good compromise betwen grip, rolling resistanse and weight if you want to race.
