$25.00 | | Purchased At: | Faisst Bikes, Hornberg, Germany | | Strengths: | Relatively light (tried to find similar weighted tires for replacement, but couldn't find too many)
Corners good on rocky, dusty ground, decelerating is fine, self-cleaning works in most conditions | | Weaknesses: | Doesn't grip on wet roots (but then again: what tire does?), I lost a knob or two on the rocky Trails here in Black Forest (But hey: I used them for two Seasons with each 600km). In muddy conditions it looses a lot of it's grip and the self-cleaning feature stops to work. What really pisses me of ist that on almost every tour I had a flat tire - be it from snakebites or from punctures. | | Similar Products Used: | Schwalbe Fat Albert | | Bike Setup: | Marzocchi Bomber MX Comp/ETA 2003, Magura Louise FR 2003, Cube Hardtail Frame | | Bottom Line: | This tires tracking abilities are fine. I used them in lots of different conditions, on rocky ground, hard and soft pack and apart from in mud they just do their job. Still: I had so many flat tires (riding them at 2,5 bar) from either snakebites or punctures, I wouldn't buy them again. I'm going to try the new IRC Freedomcross Trailbear, maybe that'll be better. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$40.00 | | Purchased At: | rijwielpaleis bilthoven | | Strengths: | racing ralph is my fastest tire, but the front washes out in corners when its wet. i hate falling. so i put a big jim on at the front. problem gone! the big jim has super grip in wet and/or muddy conditions. good in corners. good puncture resistance. great value for money. very easy to install. | | Weaknesses: | a bit heavier and slower than racing ralph or fast fred. a tad slow and noisy on solid ground. not as fast or comfortable as a racing ralph. one tire had a wobble straight out of the box (replaced under warranty). not cheap. | | Similar Products Used: | racing ralph 2.35, fast fred 2.25 , michelin wildgripper, continental explorer | | Bike Setup: | idworx sm, crossmax, quake air | | Bottom Line: | for the cold/wet season (3/4 of the year), i ride big jim or king jim up front, racing ralph 2.35 rear. best combo for comfort, speed, grip. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$25.00 | | Purchased At: | singletrackworld.com | | Strengths: | Great all round tyre, light enough for XC, tough enough for most stuff. | | Weaknesses: | None | | Similar Products Used: | Lots of tyres. I like to chop and change! | | Bike Setup: | These were on my Ellsworth ID. | | Bottom Line: | Sorry got mixed up, that review ^^^^ was for Nokian Gazzalodi 2.3s!
Great tyres, wicked for the UK where conditions rarely reach super dry and there's no slick rock.
Bear in mind that these will wear out quick if the going's dry, but in loose or loamy conditions the edges grip like they're on rails. A great 4x or aggressive XC tyre I'd say, but not for race whippets. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$25.00 | | Purchased At: | singletrackworld.com | | Strengths: | Awesome cornering grip, good all around grip, reasonably hard wearing, good flat resistance. | | Weaknesses: | Fairly hefty, and the tread pattern is slower going on really hardpacked terrain than others, unsurprisingly. | | Similar Products Used: | Too many to name. Use High Rollers and these mainly. | | Bike Setup: | Specialized SX and a Kona Stinky right now. | | Bottom Line: | Great tyres, wicked for the UK where conditions rarely reach super dry and there's no slick rock.
