custom (Easton Elite frame combined with XTR, XT, DT, Answer...)
Bottom Line:
I'm using the S4 for about 8 years, and there is no problem with it. It survived some crashes too, but still unbend, unscratched. Strong, durable, good looking post. Definitely one of the best seat posts on the market. Just go and buy it.

Good seatpost, but with crappy clamp. It bends.
I am waiting for evaluation for replacement, but I will sell the seatpost same moment when (and IF) I get new.
If I in the future will want some good setpost, I would buy Thomson. Cheap solution is Truvativ XR.

Got a great deal on the seatpost but am pi**ed because I've just bought a WTB Power DH saddle and the 8mm rails will not fit the cradle on the post and Roox have not replied to 3 emails asking if they supply an aftermarket adapter. For that reason alone I do not rate Roox (the company) - haven't tried the post but it looks the dog's bollocks.

Bottom Line:
After I had to change my frame I faced the problem I had not a seatpost. Another issue was my height and proportions (190 cm, 67kg and leg lenght is about 100cm). Frame size was 19, so I needed something extra-long, as I don't like hitting my face with my knees. I considered various options, but finally I decided to go for [RooX] because of the opinions of others and warranty. I do not regret any penny spent, as this is simply the best money can buy. I have it at the max. up and it works just perfectly. If you have an opportunity to buy one run to the shop before others will buy it.

After braking my first Roox at the saddle-clamp i trusted in the (warranted) second one because of the "unique double wall design". Last weekend this new seatpost cracked away at the frame clamp under my bottom while going uphill. I cut my leg on the sharp edge of the rest of the seatpost so deep, that i had to go to the hospital. Sure, i´m 1,96 m tall and near 100 kg, but who should use a seatpost that is 43 cm long???? I bet no rider with 50 kg and 1,55 m will need to use this product!!

I hate this post. I tried to get it working on a dirtbike and the small range of adjustment drived me carzy. the post needed abut one houre of extra work and some tools (you might not have) to get the right angel of the seadle. after braking this frame i needed a new post with an other diameter and so i bouht a kalloy. and don't laugh . . . it's better. it's black too (don't you think that nearly all post look the same?!?), no more problems with the adjustement (it's the same system) and the relation price/weight is better too . . .

Nice 'n' long - I always find supplied posts a bit short. Hard finish is virtually unmarked after about 5 years use. A tad fiddly to get the saddle as far back as possible with the required tilt (ie a tad nose-down), but with this type of design that's expected. 50 quid (ie 75 USD) compared to far more expensive long posts (ie Sycros). A shame Evans don't seem to stock 'em nowadays, but they're still imported by Ison Distribution (see www.roox.at)

Nice seatpost. I wanted it in black, but the shop had only a silver 27.2 mm lying around zo I took it anyway, I got a 10% discount and wanted it. Silver looked good to. The insertion scale on the back is nice and not seen directly from the sights. Pretty light for its length. I struggled a bit with fitting a saddle on top of it and learning to adjust it takes a bit practise, as tightening the screws will do something to the adjustment.
