Favorite Trail:Around Mount Tamalpais
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $900.00
Purchased At:Mike's Bikes
Strengths:Well made bike, great frame, fine Marzzochi MX Pro fork, all around good set of components (except for brakes)
Weaknesses:The Juicy 3 brakes are just lousy, they squeal, vibrate, and they are fading severely on long declines. I just ordered Formula K18 with high hopes of improvement.
Similar Products Used:Kona Cinder Cone
Bottom Line:This is the 2007 model. It's well made, and I find it very agile and responsive. I've had it now for over 1500 miles of city and trail riding and it's been a great bike so far. Replacing the brakes should make it about as perfect a bike as one can hope for in this price range.

Date Reviewed: February 17, 2008
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $800.00
Purchased At:Jensen
Strengths:Weight, frame build, fork
Weaknesses:Shimano pedals, tires
Similar Products Used:Fisher Tassajara, Cannondale F5
Bike Setup:Stock (Shimano Deore XT, Juicy 3)
Bottom Line:2007 model, awesome deal. RM is a great manufacturer. They build a great, light bike in Canada! Though I am relearning the sport, this bike is making it easy. Shifting, braking, seat are all good. Pedals, tires, and grips need improvement. Great product.
