Strengths:Really strong, can take anything. Awesome frame, pretty light setup, good parts for the price.
Weaknesses:The fork is a bit soft, but honestly you can still do some amazing stuff with it, only bad riders will blade the fork right? :P The front derailleur is crap, and the chain get stuck between it and the frame. just put a chain tentioner and it's all good.
Similar Products Used:Canondale f700 modified, Kona scrap, STP2, Norco 250cc
Bike Setup:Azonic hammer stem, Chubby bar, XT rear and front derailleur, Maxxis Holly tires, Blackspire duelly chainguard.
Bottom Line:Put a chain tentionner, change the front derailleur, if you adjust the rear one (Deore) it will do, even if I changed it anyway :P Strong as hell, good wheels, if you get a good deal on it, go for it! ...and the fork is not that bad.

Duration Product Used:1 Year
Purchased At:$850
Strengths:Great frame, Rockys are always amazing, the paint is too good to compare to anything else, nice and thick, and everything seems relatively solid, although I do only weigh 145 lbs. Strong wheels.
Weaknesses:Fork is annoying. Gets all sticky and doesn't want to move, and then as soon as I put some grease on the seals, it gets much better. The wheels seem heavy, though are pretty strong, the hubs are terrible, the bearings were already shot after about 6 months of riding with at least 2 cleanings every week. The brakes are ok, nothing fabulous, and the pedals are horrible. I rode this bike for 3 months and I had already broken one of the pedal axles. I replaced them with Azonics and the problem was solved.
Similar Products Used:No freeride hardtails previously, just an XC bike and a bmx.
Bike Setup:Stock except for Azonic pedals and lots of sets of new tubes.
Bottom Line:I am quite satisfied with this bike. Despite my grievances, this bike was responsible for creating my interest in the sport of downhill and freeride. I feel that this bike is extremely versatile and although there may be a few quirks, the bike will allow riders to experiment with all aspects of the more extreme side of the sport.

Strengths:Beefy, balanced bike, fork isnt too bad. pretty good components. good brakes for mechanical. good on the jumps, and just around town freeriding. real thick rims and "Bling Bling" tires.
Weaknesses:fork could have been better, but like it said, its not bad. single speed maybe with a chain guide. nothing else really.
Bike Setup:stock, getting chain guide...
Bottom Line:Real good bike for the money. im enjoying it anyways. works for just about what ever you want it to, except it cant do everything a downhill bike can do. but its not made for that!!

enjoy...

Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $1050.00
Purchased At:The Bike Shop
Strengths:Stout Frame with good price to quality ratio. Wheel better thatn rhyno lites but marginally heavier. 24speed is a lot more forgiving and less likely to hop after a smack to the derailer. Fork is awsome.
Weaknesses:The front derailer is a road bike looking part no good. Bling Bling tires are real heavy.
Bike Setup:stock
Bottom Line:good bang for the buck if you want a freeride hardtail. Its a decent street rig too.
