Sigma Sport BC1600 cordless computer. Soon to rip out riser bar and put in a Easton 90 flat one. | | Bottom Line: | Got this at an end-season price. For RM's top hardtail, it was a good deal. Light, responsive, frame and smooth drivetrain (so far). Noticed the headset is loose so the front wheel "clunks" a bit, but I can fix this. Riser bar has to go (it may just be me, but it just looks like...a girl's bike) so a flat one will stretch me out a bit over the top tube, which is how I like riding anyway. Haven't fully put it to the XC test but I'm confident that the thick chainstays will really help climbing. So far, no problems with the SID Race fork although I know it's had iffy reviews on this site.
For a non-mass market, NORTH AMERICAN-made bike, this is quite good value. Compared to a more expensive Klein Attitude, I would definitely take this because the frame is just as well makde and the higher grade components make it tough to turn down. I put a lot of research in before buying this because I want it to be my ride of choice for the next 5-8 years and so far it seems like I've made the right decision.
