$450.00 | | Purchased At: | frame-only on eBay | | Strengths: | light and fast and it rails | | Weaknesses: | stock rear shock is the weakest link. no real complaints, but i'll be upgrading when i can and expect a better shock to make a big difference in the ride | | Bike Setup: | full-custom: SRAM drivetrain, LP riser, Spinergy Xyclones, Truvativ cranks, Precision Billet Vs, Tech Light levers about 26.5 lbs and nearly bullet proof | | Bottom Line: | i'm totally stoked with my ride. i got the frame and built it up after busting my ti hardtail. at 195 lbs, i'm pushing clysedale class, and i ride hard. the terrain out here is brutal to boot. since building this bike, i've ridden harder, farther and faster without any disappointments. it handles hits well, is stable at speed and on rocky loose stuff, and does not rob power on the climbs. a joy all the way around! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1200.00 | | Purchased At: | Arcadian Shop | | Strengths: | Awesome semi-active design, little to no bobbing on the trail. stock Raceface components are great, like usual. | | Weaknesses: | the brakes, wheels, seatpost/saddle, and bars are trash, but i'm a veteran, and to a newbie, it won't make much of a difference. i knew i was going to upgrade, so nothing bad here really. | | Similar Products Used: | Cannondale hardtail, Cannondale Jekyll, Fisher Sugar, Specialized FSR, | | Bike Setup: | XT/XTR drivetrain, thomson stpst/stem, selle italia SLR, Mavic CrossRoc discs, Hayes brakes | | Bottom Line: | It's too bad this bike doesn't get more publicity, because it is right up on par with the great fs bikes as of late. kind of the strong, quiet type if you could say that about a bike. anyway, with the upgrades, its should be a fine racer next season. peace. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1500.00 | | Strengths: | Excellent all rounder enduro bike. Basic but quality shocks, simple to adjust, very stiff. Coherent componentry for price.
| | Weaknesses: | BB and Headset are crap.
| | Similar Products Used: | Fuel, Bear, Essence, kinesis4bardesign | | Bike Setup: | All stock except FormulaB4Pro/Mavic223-DT-Deore | | Bottom Line: | Mine is 18size, i needed to shorten stem for more control in low speed technical
the transfer of braking power with disc make the bike feel more under control than with the stock Deore Vbrake. Curious feeling. Handling is improved in severe conditions. And that's cool.

$1100.00 | | Strengths: | Efficiency, comfort | | Weaknesses: | Will need upgrades in the future. especially the Deore crankset. | | Similar Products Used: | Trek Fuel 90 | | Bike Setup: | Stock except for Avid ti brakes. | | Bottom Line: | For the price an incredible full suspension bike. Better than my stumpjumper hardtail on a climb! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1500.00 | | Purchased At: | pedal power | | Strengths: | real nice flow to the whole bike extremely easy on the ass on the down hill and no problems on the uphill for a dualie. the air shox make the bike really fun to cusr\tomize to your own strengths and weakness's | | Weaknesses: | to many canadian decals and seatpost is a maple leaf. arghh!!!! nah nah just playin canada | | Similar Products Used: | last bike was a giant iguana from like 1996 or 1997 but i just kept adding stuff was still a great frame just to small | | Bike Setup: | marzochi bomber in the front/ fox float in back/ xt back lx front deore brakes/ easton frame (the best!)/ | | Bottom Line: | this bike is definately a great bike for the normal person it mixes a little of everything you could want on a nice starter bike or even an upgrade. it was very affordable for what you get and there's no bike like it for the price. not to mention you cant go wrong with a homemade rocky mouuntain frame set!! i recomend this bike to anyone because it is a really awesome deal and no one beats it on the trail. nice smooth on the downhill and easy to ride on the uphill. this bike would be a sweet ride for either the casual weekend rider or a decent deal for the person who doesnt mind going a little extreme sometimes. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1400.00 | | Purchased At: | Ajax Bike & sport, Carbondale | | Strengths: | Climbing,Descending,ALL | | Weaknesses: | Tire wideness | | Similar Products Used: | Giant Iguana | | Bike Setup: | Stock except Continental Vertical Pro 2.3 tires, and SRAM shifting and Avid Mechanical Disc's | | Bottom Line: | This bike was my first Dual Suspension and it rocks. It climbs just as good, even better. I didn't like the XT rear derailluer because of the constant knocking on the chain stay's. Then the brakes worked really well but the Avid disc where to cheap to pass up on. Then i wanted some wider tires for DHing so i put some Continentals on. This bike is awesome, it can be a week end ride or your race only rig. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1050.00 | | Purchased At: | Chalet Sports | | Strengths: | Reasonably priced, good suspension design, well built | | Weaknesses: | lower pivot bushing seized, but it's not too painful to fix | | Similar Products Used: | fisher sugar | | Bike Setup: | Slayer rear link (4 or 4.5 inches of rear travel, I'm not sure), 100mm springs in stock Z3 fork, truvativ sl cranks, Sun singletrack rims, specialized enduro pro tires, and Hayes hydraulics | | Bottom Line: | A great all around bike for the price. Almost as efficient with the slayer rear link, but more plush. (you can order the link form Rocky for about $60 and it takes 5 minutes to change) More of a trail bike than a cross country bike now, but still climbs great and goes downhill really well. The only complaint I have is the bushings, but they're easily fixed. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1900.00 | | Purchased At: | local bike shop | | Strengths: | Great frame design. Feels strong with no lateral movement or bobbing coming from the rear. Hand made frame c/w a good standard package of components. My carve came with a free uprated wheel and disc package. | | Weaknesses: | Crappy tires which were replaced quickly. Slightly heavier than some of the competition I tried. | | Similar Products Used: | Diamond back x-link. Trek fuel 90. | | Bike Setup: | quite Stiffly sprung for my 190 lb weight so looking to soften it up bit for the next ride. | | Bottom Line: | Cracking bike which climbs well for a full suspension and looks the business. Can't really find anything as good for the price. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1200.00 | | Purchased At: | Pine Mt. Sports | | Strengths: | Rock solid bike at a great price. | | Weaknesses: | Entry level shocks and components but nothing that can't be upgraded later. | | Similar Products Used: | Fuel 80,Giant AC3 | | Bike Setup: | Stock | | Bottom Line: | Smooth ride, Shifts good. Suspension irons out the ruff stuff. I looked around for a good deal and found the Carve. I've had the bike for a week now and am very, very pleased. 3 rides over 50 miles total. Hitting some really fun DH's. The bike's suspension handles great. NO PEDAL BOB!! I felt less fatigued after a long ride.

$1400.00 | | Purchased At: | RiverRat Mountain Bikes | | Strengths: | Excellent overall suspension design. Good stock equipment choices. Handmade frame with attention to detail. Bike is rock solid and feels like it will last. I can't find any flaws in the way in handles on the trail. For the money, an excellent value since the price is right there with the Trek, Specialized, and Gary Fisher (especially since Rocky Mountain isn't even close to their company size.) | | Weaknesses: | Disc Brakes should be standard equipment. Limited number of bike shops in my area that carry this brand (only 1 I know of). Could be a little lighter on the weight side. Maybe a little less house brand components and more brand name products. | | Similar Products Used: | Specialized, Gary Fisher, and Trek. | | Bike Setup: | Stock but looking to add disc brakes. | | Bottom Line: | I highly recommend this bike for overall mountain biking, especially for cross country rides. The suspension works great for me, I don't notice any bobbing. Bike looks great as well. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1520.00 | | Purchased At: | Adrenaline PR (Puerto Rico) | | Strengths: | A great stiffness. No bob when we´re out of the saddle. Easton Elite. Great weldings. | | Weaknesses: | Not a MXC, but a Z3 '01. :-(( Not Race Face ISIS in the craks. I've got to pay a XT crakset (90$ more). :-(((( Rocky Mountain components (seat post, headset) are only regular... | | Bottom Line: | A rocket bike. No contemplations. The frame is really cool. The components can be replaced with time and money. It's my dream bike. I'm not objective... | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
