Duration Product Used:

Strengths:
Reliability, Popularity (in case of problems), Plush ride like most steel coil shocks
Weaknesses:
A little on the heavy side like most steel coil shocks, Damping adjustment is too uneffective: at least 95% of the turning range of the adjusting screw are worthless - only the final 1/4 turning causes the change between hardly any damping, medium damping and so much damping that the bike feels like a hardtail, Seems to be underdamped in general

demo tested some air shocks
Bike Setup:
Specialized FSR Enduro Comp with some weight shaving done to turn it into an xc-bike of 12,2 kg (as far as possible), RS Judy Race fork
Bottom Line:
Mostly an average rear shock as far as I can tell. It provides what you can expect from a steel coil system: a plush ride. As can be expected it is not made for weight saving (yes, I am one of these guys who buy most bike parts with a scale handy). The damping adjustment should be improved - a thicker type of damping oil would probably help a little to improve damping and the adjustment range. Eventually I bought it for its system inherent reliability - I am dreaming of doing an Alp-cross with my bike.
