Bottom Line:great set of shocks for a little price. I don't know what these other guys are talking about when they said the shocks bottom out easily because i"m going off monster jumps with them and they still don't bottom out

    Strengths:pretty cheap, good value
    Weaknesses:springs (not too stiff)
    Similar Products Used:RS Sid XC
Bike Setup:Mongoose DX 10.9 frame, XT, Mavic 521 rear, 221 front,
    cheap stem/handlebars,King Headset
Bottom Line:Maxes out off a damn wheelie. Other than that it's a pretty durable hunk of metal.
Little matainance and pretty smooth squish for the price...
Seemed to be fine after a 4 ft+ drop-off, but bad for intense landings. It's thrown me off my bike on a bad landing at a BMX track, but it has yet to break. I wouldn't recomend this fork for XC racing nor anything that's closely related to Downhill.
It's a durable fork for Mt Bike beginers and won't bust your wallet.

My upgraded Mesa is fine. Its versatile and supple for gravel roads, moderate single track and commuting. I'm very pleased.

    Strengths:This far: quite light ( 1640 g with 21 cm steerer tube )
    suitable flushness for winter rides
( up to - 10 degrees Celsius ), race tuned
    damping, low cost
Weaknesses:none so far -- cannot say anything

    Bike Setup:C´dale M900 ( light )
Bottom Line:Coil in oil is a good setup also for chilly weather
riding -- overall the Jett Race is a nice everymans race-tuned fork . Very similar to ´99 Manitou Spyder R
( my son has got a one ), except this one to be better in damping small bumps. As to compare ratings, I would give now Manitou Mach 5 Sx two Clilis and Spyder R ( 99´)
    3 and half.
