from Vancouver, BC Date Reviewed: April 25, 2003 | | Favorite Trail: | NorthShore, Hornby Is, Texada and BC Interior | | Duration Product Used: | More than 3 years | | Purchased At: | Came with bike | | Strengths: | Best fork for the money and it came stock with my bike. | | Weaknesses: | Limited adjustability. | | Similar Products Used: | Marzocchi Z.3 BAM 80 | | Bike Setup: | 1999 GT XCR 3000 iDrive with mostly stock parts and CC Cloud Nine rear shock | | Bottom Line: | The bottom line is, this is by far the best front fork that I've ridden so far. I know that this fork had saved me from flying off the bars on many steep technical sections. The one at Hornby Is, which was supposedly to be walking steep trail (as steep or steeper than the Grouse Grind) with a chance of going over the bluff -- the shock just took every single hits while maintaining good steering control. I'm a light rider, so I haven't blown the seals as of yet and my mechanic who serviced my shock said this will serve me well for the forseeable future!! Good for the money and well matched with Cane Creek's Cloud Nine rear shock (took off that RS Coupe Deluxe pogo stick) to make it a very very sweet bike. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$165.00 | | Purchased At: | mtbr.com | | Strengths: | Super smooth travel. this fork has kept me from going over the bars in many technical situations. Amazing performance for this low price. I bought this one as an extra fork tried it out and decided to sell my other Rock Shox fork and keep this one. | | Weaknesses: | Would be perfect it was a little stiffer. Honestly, I have no complaints. | | Similar Products Used: | The Judy's, mars bomber, Fox forks. | | Bike Setup: | GT hardtail, disc brakes, MRP, Rhyno lites, Ritchie hubs, Chris king, Azonic hot seat, freaking amazing Maxxis tires - high rollers 2.35 and 2.5 ( rear, frt ). | | Bottom Line: | In decent condition, its hard to find such a great deal for a fork. highly reccomend. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$50.00 | | Purchased At: | What a deal huh | | Strengths: | Simple internals. Smooooooth. | | Weaknesses: | Bit of flex but I need it on my frame.
| | Similar Products Used: | Quadra 10 Mag 21 Zokes, (old air/oil) 96 Judy SL Indi SL 00 Z4 | | Bike Setup: | XT Group on Giant MCM | | Bottom Line: | A great all round fork. Not to heavy, not too flexy, takes any drop off a Z2 will do. No stiction. Little maintenance required and its sooo easy. And no it doesnt have a cartridge! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Winston-Salem Date Reviewed: June 27, 2000 | | Duration Product Used: | 6 months | | Strengths: | Plush, lots of travel | | Weaknesses: | Blew seals and cartridge thereby leaving me bikeless until I can save up enough money to buy the new stuff. | | Similar Products Used: | Rock Shox Indy C | | Bike Setup: | GT XCR 3000 | | Bottom Line: | This fork was good when it was running but now I think it sucks. I'm even considering buying a more simplistic fork that will work forever. I just want to ride and if something is keeping me from doing that than it sucks. I give it two chilis because I am very irritated at it. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Canada Date Reviewed: March 17, 2000 | | Favorite Trail: | North Shore, Vancouver | | Duration Product Used: | 6 months | | Strengths: | 4in of travel. Easy to adjust. Works well on my GT XCR with Deluxe rear shock. | | Weaknesses: | Blew seals after 3 months of hardcore riding. Too much flex for my liking. | | Similar Products Used: | Marzocchi Z5 | | Bike Setup: | GT XCR 3000, Judy 100 fork, Rockshox Deluxe shock, Avid brakes, Race Face crank, Shimano LX front and rear derailleurs. | | Bottom Line: | I ride very hard. 10 foot drops, 60kmh downhill freakouts, hard pavement landings, and yes I do crash. This fork has a very plush ride and soaks up most landings and takes care of the rocks and roots leaving me to do the riding, could do with a bit better tracking feel. I probably should have a dual crown 6" travel fork but for now this is a very capable fork and any rider looking for 4" of travel and a smooth ride should consider this fork. Probably one of the best 4" travel forks on the market. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from San FranciscoCa. Date Reviewed: November 26, 1998 | | Bottom Line: | Welcome to 99 and a conversion to coil/oil bath. It works great. 100mm instead of the 63 I was getting from my Judy SL. Always concerned of the weight of the Marzochi's. It's really light for it's amount of travel. Mates well to the rear RS Super Deluxe on my 97 GT LTS. This is a fun fork and great bang for the buck! | Overall Rating: |
