This coil sprung fork is good value for the beginner XC rider but really starts to struggle when the track gets rough. Not having rebound dampening is a real drawback when descending or rough tracking at speed as the juddering gets transfered to your hands. This makes it very tiring. On the positive side though, you need to hit something pretty hard to bottom out yet they feel plush over the occasional lump in the trail.

well um.... it doesn't bottom out? Ok not too many strengths ...hmm...the colour.
Weaknesses:
Almost everything: lots of maitence, no decent seals, crappy preload adjuster (broke it after two months), too stiff (compressed 1.5 inches after a 3 foot drop, all the excess force tranfered to my arms), travel varies even though DROP HEIGHT DOESN'T, clogs with dirt easily and lock up, constant maitence required, Downhill: arms were numb after going down blue mountain, freeride: doesn't take landings very well and too much rebound, XC: half decent for XC, but crappy for hills, DJ: DONT EVEN TRY WITH THIS FORK

stock IH warior sport, im actually scred to ride this bike casue iv broken so many things on this bike but i haven't bothered to replace them cause it would cost less in the end to buy another better bike (probably getting p.2 or tactik)

Don't get this fork unless you do simple xc trails just for fun once in a while. on second thought... DON'T GET THIS FORK!!!

good travel(100mm) for just starting out on a real mountain bike, good overall performance, very cheap much better for me coming from a bike with only 75mm of travel. Preload adjust works good no stiffness on turning the knob for me other guy must have already had the fork on max or min stiffness

great for a person who is just getting into riding (like me) not expensive so you dont have to worry about seriously hurting your wallet aswell as yourself when you hit a big tree or a wall at speed, ok for some small jumps and drops
Weaknesses:
sometimes the fork gets jammed if you bottom it out but this usually rights itself soon, very poor low speed damping, no good once you progress into intermediate ridoin or racing

Bottom Line:
I've only used this fork a few times but I'm impressed with it so far. the spring in it is very stiff which is good for me being im 240 6'1 and makes for a good solid fork. The preload knob is very stiff and if you dont have the strength to turn by hand you could break it using pliers etc. The fork is not plush over little roots etc but its no concern for me. I'd rather have it stiff like it is for when i need to brake hard the bike doesnt dive to the point where you're over the bars. Got to give this fork 5 flammin turds for value and 4 for overall because of stiff knob.

This shock has good control overall, and its good for going over tree roots.

It gets stiff after awhile, so you always have to take if off a drop or something.

This shock is very good for people who ride the weekends and have an intermediate trail near to where they live, where it would be good to get used to it. If you weight a lot, you should definetly get this shock due to its coil. If you don't weight that much, this shock is still good, but you might just have to work it for a few minutes. Overall, this shock deserves a 8.75/10 This shock is also cheap, cheap, cheap!!!!!
