For this category rockshox all-mountain forks , the Duke xc is great for all around use /plush but stable, good rebound work/.
Weaknesses:
U have only two adjustments.
Similar Products Used:
Duke XC,Splice comp.
Bike Setup:
Trance 3.
Bottom Line:
Once adjust this fork by air u can forget about it and ride, ride and ride.Only if u want to make it more stiffer or plusher u can increase or decrease air pressure.Low maintainance, no problem with leaking or somthng.Great fork for XC ride and descents( dont confuse with DH).I recommend this fork for cross-mountain use without scary drops or jumps.

Strengths:
Good action, functional rebound adjustment
Weaknesses:
Long term durability is questionable.
Similar Products Used:
RST, Marzocchi MX Pro w/ETA
Bike Setup:
Trance 3, Stock except for Hayes 9 brake upgrade
Bottom Line:
This is the OEM fork for the 05 Trance 3 (thats the reason for no price). I think the fork's ability to work on the small hits and absorb the big hit is remarkable. It is noisy but it's not a mechanical noise, it's a hydraulic noise. I don't mind the noise at all, it tells me the fork is doing it's job.
ANNNNNND it's very light. I don't have a scale graduated in grams, buts it's easily lighter than the Zook and might be stiffer. I like it.

No proload adjustment, stock spring is too hard for me(no spring option locally), Heard that the U-turn spoil easilly?, Only Black colour, Last Rockshox Dude(taken over by recon)
Similar Products Used:
F80, Exr Pro, Judy C
Bike Setup:
Avalanche 1.0, RS duke xc u-turn, xtr hubs, xtr RD, LX hydro disc, the rest are stock
Bottom Line:
A great fork tat makes my ridding more confident in the trail. I left my travel at 85mm and forget about the u-turn knob. Stock spring is mend for users above 70kg, therefor i'm not able to use up all the travel avaliable. The quality of this fork far surpass my previous Marz Exr pro. Hope this will serve me for a few years down the road.

Strengths:
This is a review for a duke sl air, seeing as how there are no spots for it i am making one. The fork is smooth, very tunable, doesn't bob much and is very plush. The poploc is a wonderful feature i really don't know how i got along without it before!
Weaknesses:
The poploc though nice is made of cheap plastic and breaks fairley easily in a wreck its also expensive ($32). the fork is also a little noisy but it's tolerable. there is also a fiar amount of flex in the stanchions again not somthing that i worry about but it can be un-nerving at first
Similar Products Used:
Manitou axel comp and a suntour sr(the original pogostick fork)
Bike Setup:
05 trek 6500, Due sl fork, avid bb7 brakes, sd7 levers, fullmetal jacket cables, race face atlas cranks, sun sub 4 rims, kore lite bar handlebar, eggbeater pedals and a partridge in a pear tree
Bottom Line:
This is a good fork for the money. The poploc lockout is an invaulable feature for both convience and functionality. It rides smooth as glass even with the noise. Its very tunable. i also really like threshhold feature. It gives me confidence that i will not blow out my fork while riding. Over all i have had great luck with this fork and think it should be a serious consideration for anyone looking to replace thiers.

Bottom Line:
Good forks for the price, rebound works well, travel adjust is a little stiff and impossible to adjust on the fly otherwise it worked well. The shock soaked up almost everything without hitting bottom, and I weigh 200lbs (I bought it with a heaver spring). A good fork for entry level XC or just mucking around, no good for any big drops, but that’s not what would you would buy it for
