Submitted by Mitchel a Cross Country Rider from Neherlands
Date Reviewed: December 27, 2007
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $10.00
Strengths:Light, good grip
Weaknesses:Not as comfortable as I thought, act like a sponge in wet weather
Similar Products Used:specialized
Bike Setup:Orbea Alma Team & Epic Expert 2008
Bottom Line:They are not too expensive and very light, but they are not as comfortable as I thought. On longer rides (> 2 hours) I experienced the problem that my ringfingers started to feel numb.

On wet rides, they absorb like a sponge, however without loosing too much of their grip.

Despite the higher weight, I think the Ergon (GR/GX2) grips or specialized BG grips are the best for marathon bike rides.

Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $9.00
Strengths:Comfortable, Lightweight, Perfect Grips!
Weaknesses:Hard to get on and off!!
Similar Products Used:Ouri and Porkrinds
Bottom Line:These grips are the ones that should come stock on every bike. They are extremely comfortable and and the foam is just wonderful to have in your hand in while riding. They are very lightweight at 51g. The titec porkrides came out to 18g but they are as stiff as a rock. The wcs grips are plush and comfortable.
The Ouri's were 102g and were too hard and rubbery. I guess with gloves it's fine but I prefer the WCS over any of them.

Submitted by Alejo Catalejo a Weekend Warrior from Gaüses , Catalunya.
Date Reviewed: February 24, 2003
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Strengths:Weigh nothing. Foam feels the best. Don´t move at all.
Weaknesses:Ok, maybe are weaker than others, you have to be very carefull taking them off.
Similar Products Used:S-works, Ritchey true, lots of crap.
Bike Setup:XC steel HT.Mars cl, flat handlebar,Rapid fire XT and Avid Brake levers.
Bottom Line:My favorite grips. They might wear faster and be a bit exp. for a grip but they have the best feel I have found.I replace them for another set when they wear out without even looking to anything else ( and this is 2 to 3 times a year)
Also found them to be the only ones that stay in place no mather the weather or long rides...
However ,be very carefull becouse they rip-off very easily if you try to take them off with the screwdriver method.Patience. The best for installing I found it to be alcohol, foam lets it evaporate very well afterwards.
Excelent.

Date Reviewed: December 9, 2002
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Price Paid: $7.00
Purchased At:Denny Bicycles Ukiah
Strengths:Don't slip on the bars, easy on the hands, light weight
Weaknesses:?? Maybe they tear a little easier than other types of rubber

Similar Products Used:wtb dual compound, wtb trail grips, ritchey true grips (kraton rubber), various others
Bike Setup:Soulcraft option3
Bottom Line:These grips have everything I need: They are comfortable and they don't slip on the bars. I have them on several bikes on both aluminum and carbon bars and have yet to have a problem with them slipping. As a bonus they are super lightweight.

Date Reviewed: February 6, 2002
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $9.00
Purchased At:LBS
Strengths:Grip(the opposing shark tooth pattern) & the soft compound used.
Weaknesses:None as of yet
Similar Products Used:Yeti & Marin OEM
Bike Setup:Marin Nail Trail
Bottom Line:Good grips they have held up and not worn down, yet remain soft. I would as a rule recommend replacing anything on a bike with that which you can pick up at your local Motocross store(so long as it fits without modification).
Ritchey makes good stuff though...............
