this bike is made out of iron. i can't believe how much this bike weighs. the rear shock does not even work and it skweeks when it does they sell this bike at caps for 800 bucks and i abdolutly hate it | Overall Rating: |

A superb bike with quality components. The gear shifters have a nice feel to them and gear changes are quiet and smooth. brake levers have a nice solid feel to them, not like dia comp stuff found on bikes in this price range.
I bought this bike for cycle touring , off road cycle tracks and easy mtn biking. I have no complaints about it at all. I originally wanted a bike with front suspension but i bought this instead because the components were much better. The rsp (Raleighs own brand?) components are class stuff.
It cost me 325 GBP.
Nothing about this bikes appears to be cheap or shoddy.

The 1998 M-Trax 100 uses the oversize reinforced gussett Alu frame and a mixture of STX-RC V-brakes
and levers, STX-RC front-mech, Sachs Centera DiRT rear-mech and shifters, Weinmann rims and Suntour
cranks. It is a beautiful bike, well made, bought for my wife and I'm jealous.The bike is so good that I'm going to have to buy the CroMo framed model up, the 150, and have the Sachs
gears put on. I may convince my better half to buy it for me.Raleigh, at the 300 to 500 lbs (sterling) range that I've looked at offer the best range of components and
frames at each and every level. Even the RSP (Raleigh's own brand) stem, bars, post and hubs are good.
Avoiding the complete groupset option Raleigh have gone to choose the best components for every budget.
