$800.00 | | Strengths: | Light frame for this era. Steal rear provided great ride while aluminum front made bike lite. Amazing feel to this bike. Many bikes now days are as light or lighter, but don't ride as well. Tomac influenced geometry. Great frame to upgrade components on. I ride a Lodestar magnesium hard tail with a 2 pound frame weight now after this raleigh got stolen, but wish I had this old ride instead. If you have one in a 16.5 inch and want to sell it please email me at tsnedeker(at)Mountainbikes.net and name your price. I'll pay top dollar.
| | Weaknesses: | Stock Struts fork was a joke. Handle bar and stock seat post were cheap and break easily | | Similar Products Used: | Lodestar magnesium hard tail, trek aluminum 7000, tons of other bikes | | Bottom Line: | great bike for the money if you are willing to upgrade components. Not as light as today's 2003 hard tails but you'll be hard pressed to find a better riding frame. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
