$370.00 | | Purchased At: | Goodson Bikes | | Strengths: | Comfortable seat Strong Frame
| | Weaknesses: | Acrea products | | Similar Products Used: | 1999 GT OUTPOSt | | Bottom Line: | A very nice looking bike. Very comfortable and American made, one of the few bikes in this price range made in the U.S. Durability is good and is fun to ride...and that is all that matters to me. Good Buy!! Good bike for college students who go off road frequently to take the short cut to class. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$419.00 | | Purchased At: | HollyLoft Ski and Bike | | Strengths: | Strong Frame, isn't Al nice? Not the super frame of the 1000 range but I looked at the geometry of many bikes and the M-55 came close to competition hardtails in it's geometry. Its a great bike, the stock components were good, however the RST front shock lost it very quickly off a trail jump one day and since I have completely upgraded the entire bike with exception to the frame and rims | | Weaknesses: | The Front RST shock, lasted about 6 months, can't really do much with it either...the Tektro's tend to shake up a little, but are good stopping power | | Bike Setup: | My bike is now complete Shimano XT cranks, der's, shifters and chain. The front shock is upgraded to an awesome 2000 Manitou SX-R, toping it out is a Aheadset matched to a Specialized stem, Kore Lite handlebar, Answer grips and WTB Velsoraptor Kevlar 2.1 tires front and rear. Soon to come are new rims and maybe brakes as the Tektro's are a bit shaky | | Bottom Line: | The Raliegh is a great bike. No, sorry, its not the media made Trek or something similiar but its a REAL bike for a REAL biker. I bought this with the idea of upgrading in the future in mind, and since I have the bike is awesome and recommend Raliegh and "building your bike" to anyone. Its an great bike, strong frame, a good basic components, when upgraded though, it will shred up any hardtail competition I believe you put in front of it. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$370.00 | | Purchased At: | Bargain Basement Bikes | | Strengths: | Good strong components, very light, and good suspension. Fork travel seems adequate but bottoms out occasionally. Great bike for beg-inter biker. My first front susp bike and I'm very impressed. I did quite a bit of research and am very happy with my choice of the M55. | | Bottom Line: | Good strong components, very light, and good suspension. For the price I could find nothing better as far as quality of components and solidity. This bike invites you to hurl it at both downhills and technical uphills, but i do wish it had at least another inch of travel in the front fork. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

I have been riding my M55 everywhere I go because it is so much fun to ride and so comfortable. The suspension fork makes a big difference in handling and comfort. I feel like I can ride over or down anything. The big tires roll smoothly on dirt, gravel and pavement and i have not had a flat yet. If you are looking to get into the sport of mountain biking for fun, fitness or whatever I would def. recomend checking out Raleigh's line of bikes, they are quality bikes at a good price. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
