Date Reviewed: May 19, 2001
Duration Product Used:3 months
Strengths:Well built and shifts easy
Weaknesses:wasn't fond of the tires or seat that came with it
Similar Products Used:S&W police bike
Bike Setup:N/A-pre done
Bottom Line:Excellent bike overall. Very strong frame but at the same time very lightweight. Excellent for use in going over non-paved roadways and down flights of stairs (though its still not fun). I recommend this bike fully and hope to get another soon.

Submitted by David a Downhiller from Odenton, Md, USA
Date Reviewed: March 20, 2000
Favorite Trail:MT Vernon/ MC Park
Duration Product Used:6 months
Strengths:Raleigh rept. Strong frame, Good components, suspension seatpost & Rockshox fork. Uphilling, Down Hilling and City Riding this bike is built tough and will take it. Nice Ride is impressive!
Weaknesses:Priced a little higher than what you can get Raleigh's M600 and you don't get M600's disc brakes. Finding it in a showroom is not possible so be ready to order, as this bike is marketed as Raleigh's POLICE PATROL BIKE.
Similar Products Used:Rockhopper, TREK 6500, Highridge
Bike Setup:POLICE STOCKED w/Fenders, gear bag, strobes, rear derailleur gaurd, and rear kick stand (this bike is heavy). Only the best!
Bottom Line:I work on a Police Dept and ride as a Bike Patrol Officer. I have spent many hours on this bike and have logged any where from 30-127miles on this bike in a week. This bike besides alot of pinch flats,( most likly due to the riding) needs very little maintaince with the occasional adjustments and oil. It can be dropped, thrown, (suggest derailleur gaurd before doing either) and subjected to the steppest climbs and longest stairs.

Just remember this a POLICE PATROL BIKE. So if your day of riding consist of Tactical Dismounting, Chasing down the occassional fleeing criminal, Ticket Writing, Car stopping, Riding city steps (US Capital's recomded, that is, if you don't get caught by USCAP Police on their FS500's and TREK's ) and then taking the afternoon for some trail riding you might want to check out the M80 our even the M600 you might even get to ride it before you buy it.
