Bought these only because I needed some new wheels asap when my deore hubs crapped after 4 years of use. These were the only things I could get same day for a ride. So far so good. Have taken off 3 foot to flat drops, ridin hard downhill, and so far no problems. They are a bit flexy on tight singletrack. But they still roll as if new. I find myself coasting on many parts of the usual trails where I used to have to peddle since my old wheels were TIRED.

CHEAP!!! Reasonably tough, low maint., ride fine. A good tough pair of all 'round wheels to get on discs for very little $!

Solid set of cheap wheels ($100!) to get you out on the trail with discs while saving up for a nicer, lighter pair & they'll make a good back-up set to keep around...

Strong. Very Strong. Im a big guy, at the time 225 or so. Resonable on weight but not so bad.
Weaknesses:
Not many that I can think of. Not as stiff as others, they do flex just a wee bit side to side in the corners, but Im a big guy
Acces hard tail with Manitue Mars air, full XT drive, carbon bar. Avid archrivels.

Ok, Like I said above. Im a big guy, about 225 when I bought these about three years ago. I worked for Performance for a while so I did not pay much for them. The weight is not the best, but really is not that bad at all. I have two sets, the disk compatable and non disk compat. I have two bikes a hard tail and full suspension Trek. There both 99 models, but have served me really well. I bought these first for the ACCES hard tail. Im a big guy and I bashed the hell out of these wheels. I was not easy on them at all. Ive never had to true them at all. there still straight as can be. I bought the disk compats for my trek and ran them with slick tires. They have fared just the same as with the others.

Bottom Line:
This review is for the rear only. For less than $100, shipped, new, with a warranty, you CAN NOT BEAT IT! Rear has an asymmetrical rim design with 24 count spokes in a center pull hub, about 1000g, very similar to a Crossride, except it is not disc-compatible, and costs less. The freewheel sounds a little cheesy, and could be smoother, but again, for the price, beggars can't be choosers. Bike snobs may thumb their noses at you, but this only endears me to the thing more. Haven't bashed it or bent it yet (I'm a hair under 170lbs). It bought it on sale, by the way. MSRP is somewhat higher. 5 charred cats for value, and 4.5 overall because it's such a great value, but certainly not as nice as the wheels that cost as much as some folks make a paycheck.
