$149.00 | | Purchased At: | PerformanceBike | | Strengths: | Looks good. | | Weaknesses: | Because of the movement of the centering action of the clamp that holds the bicyle the paint will erode and even after a limited number of "clamps" the paint on my bike shows some marks not removed by polish. Sure hold the bike at the correct height and correct angle while clamping either put the bicylce on the stand or taking it off and the problem goes away. A far better way is a clamp where the bicycle is placed on the lower section of the clamp and then the upper section is brought down to hold the bicycle. Spin Doctor should offer a replacement for the current "sure to erode" version. | | Bottom Line: | Not acceptable. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

What many people don't consider is that this stand extends quite a bit higher than other comparable quality stands. This is a great feature if your a tall rider working on your bottom bracket or rear der. Buy an outboard tool tray for it, then make a wall mount for the tray so you have a place to put it when you fold up your stand. No need to take out your most used tools. I highly recommend anyone with a carbon fiber bike NOT buy a stand with a quick release clamp (like the Parks), too much risk of crushing your frame. The few extra seconds of turning the knob to the correct tension will save you a lot of heartache. | | Weaknesses: | Some flex when fully extended. Pretty much unusable parts bin on clamp assy. Hard plastic pads in clamp should be replaced with a little softer urethane. | | Similar Products Used: | Several Parks, one Ultimate which I returned to exchange for this one that was $25 less. | | Bottom Line: | Probably the best homeshop stand for the money you can buy. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$130.00 | | Purchased At: | Performance Bikes Roswell | | Strengths: | This review is for the Spin Doctor Pro G3 Repair Stand. I have found this to be a very stable stand of good build quality. The handle design for the clamps are easy to adjust with one hand. The base is very stable when extended and the unit folds up well for storage. | | Weaknesses: | The frame/seat post clamp is smooth plastic. I have not had a problem with slipping or scratching, but a rubber surface would be better. | | Similar Products Used: | Spin Doctor Team Workstand (poorly designed and built) | | Bike Setup: | I have used this stand with 20", 24" and 26" bikes. | | Bottom Line: | I originally bought the Spin Doctor Team Workstand trying to save a few bucks and the 360 degree clamp disinegrated after just a couple of uses. My local Performance Store gave me credit and I upgraded to the Pro G3 stand.
