$30.00 | | Purchased At: | Performance | | Strengths: | good price and availability. Nice black color and machined brake surface. Eyelets. | | Weaknesses: | hard to find 28 hole models, all are 32 holes now at my local performance store. Prior models were recalled but the new ones seem OK and no recall yet. | | Similar Products Used: | Sun CR17, 0 deg XC, sub IV, WTB laserbeams, Mavic 517. | | Bike Setup: | NRS with SRAM, XT discs, AC cranks/race face rings, Z2 Atom, Hugi hubs, Cane creek ad12 shock, and ONZA CWAs | | Bottom Line: | Nice rims especially for the price. I got a hold of a 28 hole front disc hub and found these rims at Performance. I wasn't sure that 28 hole disc would last so didn't want to put too much $$$ into the front wheel so bought these "cheap" rims. Now over a year later, I've trued the wheel once. It has a machined brake surface so if you use V-brakes it should help performance. Seems to be doing better than my Sun Sub IV's. And for some reason, seems a bit stronger than the 517's. Definitely better than the WTBs. Only wheels I've had better luck with was my old XT/Sun CR17's and my other XTR/0 deg XCs.
Definitely worth the $30 I paid. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
