| | Weaknesses: | none | | Similar Products Used: | kona / specialized stock | | Bike Setup: | better than stock | | Bottom Line: | for the last ten years these are the only grips Ive used and there awsome, hairspray will melt them from the inside out in about a week, follow the instructions on the package and they will last the season. Like tires leaving rubber on the rocks these grips leave rubber on your hands this is a good thing a set a year is well worth the confidance they inspire!! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$9.00 | | Strengths: | Cool factor, not too sqishy, not to hard, just right. | | Similar Products Used: | Cheep foam, Salsa grips | | Bike Setup: | Bianchi Grizly lugged steel frame, single speed converted, paul ss hubs, Thompson post, Brooks leather saddle, rest junk parts. | | Bottom Line: | This is a great all around grip. It is just the right firmness for me on my no suspension single speed bike. It also looks good. I like the way the grip floats in my hands when I loosen my grip going down hill. I feel like I can grab tighter when I need to and the grip will "grip" when I ask it to, but also it can float when I want to stop beating my arms. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$10.00 | | Purchased At: | lbs | | Strengths: | I've had one pair for several years of hard use and they're still grippy and thin. I'm surprised at the "wearing out" comments below: who knows? Poor installation? Bad rubber batch? Mine are good :) | | Bike Setup: | excessive | | Bottom Line: | If you prefer a thin, sticky grip you should like these. I love 'em.

Buy lock-on grips - they don't break down or slip and are a piece of cake to swap components with. Don't waste your money with these. But man, they did feel awfully good though........... | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

Don't waste your cash! | | Bottom Line: | Don't listen to any other reviews. These things are trash! I can't believe that any half way serious mountain biker would give these things a good rating. They must all be Pedros employees or something. These things fell apart so fast it was ridiculous. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$10.00 | | Purchased At: | Western Cycle | | Strengths: | Cheap !! Soft and good grip. | | Weaknesses: | Cheap !! To thin and to short. | | Similar Products Used: | ODI lock on Grips | | Bike Setup: | Kona hardtail, stripped and ripped | | Bottom Line: | Cheap!! I'm 5'10' and my hand completely covers the grip. They are very thin. Feels like your holding onto the bare bar. Much prefer the ODI lock on. They are longer and thicker, offering much more to put your hand on. The Pedros are ok if you have small hands and don't ride very hard. If your race oriented I would look for something like the ODI offering a more substancial grip. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

I tried it because Mountain Bike/Action, one of the two, recommended it. Sometimes you can't take these magazines word for gospel like how I sometimes do. I bought WTBs and they are GREAT!!! Endoed off my bike with the WTBs and the end cap actually saved my handlebar as I have a carbon riser.

$6.00 | | Strengths: | Soft and look pretty cool. | | Weaknesses: | Too thin and not wide enough. | | Similar Products Used: | Lizard Skin Moab (I will go back to these), stock junk | | Bike Setup: | Trek 8000, SID XC, Rolf wheels, Avid brakes, Time ATAC Carbon pedals, etc... | | Bottom Line: | I like the way the grips looked and they were cheap so I picked them up from my LBS. I am now suprised to see so many positive reviews about these grips. If you have small hands and like thin grips than they may work for you. I'm an average sized guy (5'10" & 160 lbs) but the grips are way too small. I had to move my rapid shifters over about half an inch so I could shift. They feel ok but I like grips that leave a little more room. I had a set of Moabs on my last bike and plan to go back to them. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

They've got good reviews before, so maybe I got a bad pair, but come on, three months? One flamer for value, cuz I can't give any less, and one for overall, same reason. I will burn more gas driving to the bike shop to get another pair of grips (not to mention the effect of the hairspray on the ozone layer from that second installation job!) than Pedros saved by making a grip out of old tires. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

I won a set of the Prayer Stix in a raffle and put them on when my serfas grips wore out. I'm sticking with the Stix from now on. Along with believing in Pedros products these grips are gnar-gnar. Nice grippy pattern, no problem with sweat-slippage if you happen to forget your gloves and I get a whole year of use out of them before they wear through. And Bobkes' mug is on them. I may not be the fastest in the lineup, but I'm Roll-in................. | Overall Rating: |

These are good grips. I've used the grip shift and the rapid fire versions (I use RF), and found that the GS were plenty long. I reccomend using plugs with them - I use big fat GT ones and I've never had one go in the bar. Back to the grips... not a thing wrong with them, the perfect grip, and I hear they come in celeste - I want celeste | Overall Rating: |

I got rid of the Oury's after my hands got numb after only 30 minutes. Prayer Sticks rule! They look real thin but once installed they are perfect. Still comfortable and no numb hands - and I think they steer better than thick grips also for some reason (like truck tires versus sportcar tires?) 5 flaming chillies!

PEDRO'S SLIMWALLS!!!!! They are better than the prayer stix. Not to mention lighter, and they don't wear out as fast. They're also more grippy, in my opinion. I would suggest them to anyone. They are the best handle bar grips that I've ever tried. Buy them, try them, love them. They look cooler, too. | Overall Rating: |

Got these grips yesterday to replace the ones that I cut short for Gripshifts (now I have rapidfire). I have medium-sized hands and was debating whether to go with these or Ourys. The bike shop that I went to had these, and I'm glad. Thin grips give you such a more connected feel to the bike. Control instantly feels better. As for vibration dampening - I have a Marzocchi. Enough said. | Overall Rating: |

It's hard to get REALLY excited about grips, but these things are damn nice...They seem thin but I've had 'em for three months and they hold up!Hey, they're grips! But they're light, the work great and they're recycled...It also doesn't hurt that I got mine for $2.00 from a bike shop in Great Barrington, MA that posted on the Marketplace...I think he has a truckload of them...Check the Marketplace Archives...I can't remember the name of the place but you cab find hime by doing a Find for either Pedro's or grips...

These grips do the trick. They are thin and minimal, yet they've held up well. They have great hand traction , have recycled plastic in them which is cool, but best of all the Bobke's name is on them. Big fun factor! If you like thin grips you will like these. If you are into the beefier grips, then these probably won't do it for you. | Overall Rating: |
