$28.00 | | Strengths: | Low key and easy to hide under baggies. Low price and for the most part comfortable. | | Weaknesses: | The pad is a little big but it pays off on the trails | | Similar Products Used: | Oakley 2.0, Precarious Baggies | | Bottom Line: | Not to bad shorts. Comfortable for the most part. I give it 4 chilli's because of the oversized pad and having to "readjust" the shorts. They are kinda slippery so you want to tie whatever shorts you put over them. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$50.00 | | Purchased At: | Bicycle Specialists | | Strengths: | Lightweight and cool. The pad is great and keeps you comfy mile after mile. The leg grippers are not too tight and fit comfortably. The seams are flat and do not chaff. | | Weaknesses: | The pad is quite thick and feels like a diaper if you try to walk much while wearing these. (You don't really notice that while riding.) | | Similar Products Used: | Salsa, Endura | | Bike Setup: | Gary Fisher-Cake DLX 3 (Full Suspension) Rocky Mountain-Vertex (Hardtail) | | Bottom Line: | Lightweight comfortable shorts that keep you cool. Pad is plush and keeps you from getting saddle sore, even on long rides. They are my favorite out of all of the bike shorts I have tried. Likely to buy again... | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$70.00 | | Purchased At: | Nashbar | | Strengths: | Very comfortable, kept me at the perfect temperatue in 45 degree weather. | | Weaknesses: | Wore out in the inner thigh in one ride (20 miles)! Had to return it in less than a week. | | Similar Products Used: | performance shorts | | Bike Setup: | 03 Giant Yukon with some part upgrades. | | Bottom Line: | I bought the bib tights, thats why they cost $70. If they didn't wear then I would recommend them. But given they didn't last me even a week, I'd have to say stay away! Going to try some from Performance next. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$39.00 | | Purchased At: | LBSs | | Strengths: | Cheap. Padded. Black. Don't sag. | | Weaknesses: | Ermmm, need adjustment (if ya know what i mean). Feels like a diaper at first. | | Similar Products Used: | Fruit of the Looms. | | Bike Setup: | Stuff n stuff | | Bottom Line: | Yer basic shiny tights. After riding in tighty-whities for so long, I kinda wonder what the heck took me so long to throw on a pair of tights. Like any decent short, it keeps yer stuff from flapping around dangerously and helps reduce butt-chaff from the normal underwear elastic. They're low key too since i wear em under baggies.
Only drawbacks are two. One, you gotta adjust yerself every once in a while because of the padding. And two, they feel like diapers or something if you're not used to it.
Overall, adds a big deal of comfort to rides -- especially long rides -- and keeps things in place. Oh, and they're reasonably priced so that's cool too. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
