Bottom Line:
The gringo is the cheepest in the orange line but that shouldn't put you off if you are looking for a trail bike that will last and that you can up grade.
I've been riding this bike for 9 years and covered at least 20K miles on on it!!!!
I bought it because it was a british manufacturer (even though the frame is made out side the uk).
During the week i bolt on the mudgards and panniers and commute to work.
At the weekend i strip it put the pananracers back on and go trail riding in the cotswalds. The geometry is great the gringo is usually the evo from the year before. The geoetry as with all orange bikes is really good. Its so comfortable some of my trails are 8hrs start to finish and you can spend a day with no regrets.
With 110 mm forks the the handleing is stable but quick enough to bomb round switch backs while you mates dig them selves out of the nettles.
I've been down hills on this bike that trailies are not meant to hit, embaising weekend worriers on FS's that cost 4 times more, entertainment!
If you are a trailie and want a cheep bike that will last look no further.

Price Paid:
$1100.00
Strengths:
Cheap with XT rear mech - very good starter bike. Good all rounder. Ready for any upgrades (the bike can grow as you grow)
Weaknesses:
Apparantly the Axel Comp forks are to everybodies tastes, reports are that they are like a "pogo stick" no quick adjustments can be made either
Bottom Line:
I mean at the end of the day, if you want a great entry level bike but arn't too fussed about disc brakes etc but want a good set of gears then this is your bike....oh the saddle is a bit hard to be honest though
