    Date Reviewed: November 14, 2008
Favorite Trail:Anything in Joaquin Miller Park
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Price Paid: $30.00
    Purchased At:Pricepoint
Strengths:They stop you from getting arrested for public nudity. Stops the sun from tanning or burning your johnson. If you wear them without a Chamois (use some from other shorts if need be)your undercarriage will look like a porn star...hairless at the taint. Long length in the legs (14 inch inseam), bats back the star thistle and nettle and keeps the muck (manure and mud) off the skin. Good mud riding shorts.
Weaknesses:NO CHAMOIS!!! Mesh interior feels like a pot scrubber after 3 hours. W/O an insert...hiking shorts only.
Similar Products Used:KRANK Dirtwear (The Best), Decente DNA, Capo-Forma, Pearl, Fox
Bike Setup:SC Blur LT2, RF Dues, X.0, WCS Ritchey carbon stem/rizer plus WCS pedals, Talas 140 RLC, Float RP23, Easton Havoc AM, Nevegals, Joplin remote, Juicy Carbons
Bottom Line:Holy Cow Batman my balls are on fire!! Nope I checked it's not crabs!! Honestly didn't realize they were chamois less but I tagged for 2 pair from a Pricepoint email, price was the attraction and the oakley brand has been good to me in the past. Can be worn as after surf or hiking pants ....tough design...but tough on the package too. I rode ONCE for 3 hours w/o an insert and I'd rather sit on a copper pot scrubbing pad and ride shot gun in the Baja 1000. The skin sloughing occurs on the long hard climbs when you pinch in your knees for leverage, and the sweat acts like a gem polisher.

With an insert from another set of shorts..I use my Kranks or DNAs..the shorts work great. Caveat Emptor...Pricepoint...my bad..I'll read closer next time.

Long leg length is great protection from the organic nasties, thistle, nettle, poison oak, leg opening large enough to accommodate knee/shin guards...and when you take the spill, you keep your skin intact....except on the crotch.

Last note..Oakley..what an f-d way to get a good price point.
