Submitted by Dan Johnson a Downhiller from Auckland, New Zealand
Date Reviewed: August 12, 2007
Favorite Trail:brickyard
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
Price Paid: $150.00
Purchased At:Durban, South Africa
Strengths:They are a great looking sunglass, the lens is awesome and still looks new after 7 years as my everyday glasses as the frame protects the lens really well. very light super comfortable, even with no nose combs or ear socks. The frames are indestructable
Weaknesses:The ceramic starts to flake all over and it scratches pretty easily which make the glasses look very beat up altough I always use a hard case to store them. The earsocks and nose combs fell apart years ago and you cant get replacements enymore
Similar Products Used:6 or 7 pairs of M Frames, Razor Blades, Frogskins
Bike Setup:Norco Shore with all the good bits
Bottom Line:Oakley produce hot sunglasses and the styles are constantly being updated - top quality producer. A pity the lifetime warranty isnt around any more. I would buy these again in a heartbeat, sure they are expensive but they last and do a great job

Date Reviewed: August 14, 2004
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
Price Paid: $2500.00
Purchased At:Sunglasshut, Bike shop
Strengths:Initially very appealing, but the look doesn't last, now look off beat & very outdated.
Weaknesses:Not really practical, I used my Suare wire for my reading glass big mistake I got migraine, bad headache, due the spring hinge that pressured my ear, spec is heavy, replace ment lens cost a bomb compered to Rudy Project, nose & ear piece worn too rapidly, still cost money buy, Oakley make poor quality products yet make consumer for for their poorly manufactured replacement. What has happened to the unlimited warranty? when Oakley first introduced themself in the market way back 1989? they were unknown and they provide lifetime warranty.
Similar Products Used:I own Square Wire, A Wire, Wiretap, Pro M Frame with three lens, frog skin, Juliet chrome with blue iridium lens, E wire. Rudy Project Ekynox, Kerosene, Killer Loop, Briko.
Bike Setup:Pinarello Opera 54 cm, Campy Record component, Nucleon wheel set, SLR saddle.
Bottom Line:Bottomline I am not satisfied after purchased so many Oakley spec and has been supporting them since 1989, yet now I have to pay so much for replacement, cases, Oakley has no courtesy of supplying spec with case or pouch. Look what the competitor is doing they provide FOC spec case. Oakley wake before your down fall. I have since stop purhasing Oakley. Look how much you pay for Juliet and comes without the so called Vault? damn!@ cost anther USD30.00!!!
