Great lenses. Good fit
Weaknesses:
The lenses are great and they fit perfect....that's when the ear stem is not broken! The design in the ear stem is known for breaking and yet, they have kept it for many years. Mine broke about 6 months after buying them and Oakley kindly replaced the parts (I paid shipping though). As expected, about 6 months later they broke again, but this time I was out of warrantly. Oakley's response was that they could assess if it was deffective manufacturing or my fault. If it's their fault, they would replace the entire frame for free, if not, they could give me a quote for the piece. Off course, the customer service lady does not have a clue of the prices, but after many question she revealed that whether is a defective piece or my fault, they will *always* charge an "assessment" fee of almost $30!!! What kind of business model is that? I just can't buy the parts directly from them. First they need to assess if the part is broken or not (yeah, I can't tell that by myself!), pay shipping to and from their facilities, and finally receive my sunglasses. If you add everything up, you may as well buy new glasses.
Bottom Line:
Don't buy Oakley. There are many better options out there. I gave two chilis to the overall rating since the glasses are nice during the short period when they are in one piece

My only real complaint is when I stop moving, they begin to fog up. As soon as I start moving again, the fog goes away though.
For all the people who have complained about them breaking: Call the Oakley factory and tell them. Oakley is extremely good about replacing broken glasses, even if you sit on them or run them over with your car!

The rubber grips on the arms hold the shades securely on your face no matter what you're doing. I've owned over 10 pairs of Oakleys so far ranging from the old Razors, to M Frames, wire framed Oakleys etc and they are all well made and tough unless your M Frames fall out of your pocket onto the road and get run over by a car! If you want the coolest shades in town, get Oakleys. I've given the Minute 4 flaming chilis for value just because they are £80-120 in the UK.

The lenses tend to get smudged and scratched, but its not like i really take care of them... i use no case and i wipe dirt/mud off of them with my shirt or jersey... occasionally i'll use a real lens cleaner+wipe. Then lenses have gotten a little scratched up over the years of tossing them around and keeping them in my pocket or in the car center console instead of a case, but you cant tell at all while wearing them.
Also, i have a small/narrow face, and most sunglasses dont fit me right, but these things hug my face nicely and never slide, even when my face is all sweaty after bike races.
They've lasted a long time and never broken or given me any hastle, so I give them 5 flamin' thingies!

If blocking the sun was all I was worried about any glasses would do, but I can't pass by the clarity for tennis. The bottom line is that Oakley sunglasses suck. I rather have a pair of Foakleys from Mexico or the flea market here in Corpus Christi. I noticed that Sunglass Hut has extremely poor customer service, and I will never buy from them again; neither will I buy Oakley unless they fix this situation. I believe Oakleys are just a waste of money. Oakley knows they can rip their customers off because of their cool looking shades, so you know what, they do. That is why from now on I'm only going to buying other sunglasses than Oakleys and ones not sold at Sunglass Hut. I think from now on I'll buy Quicksilver sunglasses or Dragons sold at Benjamins or other surfing stores.

looks, fit, O in the sides
Weaknesses:
lenses smudge easily, makes it hard to see
Similar Products Used:
eye jackets
Bike Setup:

Bottom Line:
Expensive for sunglasses, but inexpensive for Oakleys. They fit my head perfectly. I have the classic black frame and lenses. Good for weekend riders, but not racers.

Strengths:
These are sweet! Sleek look, chicks dig them, they're scratch resistance, and the tight feel is awsome as they wrap around your head while you're screaming down the trail. Also reasonable prices compared to the rest of the Oakleys.
Weaknesses:
They are not cheap, thus you tend to take care of them like a child of your own!

Bottom Line:
Kick-ASS glasses. I got the Platinum/Gold Iridum model and they are sweet and original! Well worth the $$$$$. If you are looking for some sweet-areodynamic shades, these are them.

Strengths:
they fit my face well, and don't fall off or slip during rough downhill. And of course they are sweet looking. Lenses stay in good condition (don't scratch easily)
Weaknesses:
my frame cracked just from putting the glasses on and taking them off repeatedly. lenses fog up when riding hard. Oh yes, and they are expensive ($110.00). I would not recommend these for racing or heavy riding. They are great for crusin' around town or just hanging out in the sun having a beer.
**Don't lose your lenses because they are not included in the 1-year warranty. I lost a lens during a race because the darn frames were cracked. I sent them back to Oakley for a new pair and naturally they charge me 40$ for replacement lenses (I only lost one lens, but they have to replace the "pair" apparently). Whatever. I am looking to buy a new pair of durable sunglasses for racing.I will certainly not be purchasing another Oakley product.

If you have a smaller face get these shades. They look great and come in about a dozen colors. I went with the silver frams and grey lens. They are great for riding or just haning out at the beach. For the $80 I paid, I am very pleased. I give it 5 smoking gordos!

Bottom Line:
Only 80 bucks, superior optics, persimmon lenses can be worn right up to darkness, superior fit for smaller faces, they do fog up relatively easily, but every time I've ridden with them it's been pretty damp. I'll be anxious to see if this is a problem when summer gets here. Highly recommended.

these glasses are very nice a little pricey well i paid an extra 50 bucks just to get the platinum frame with iridum lenses, but since i have a slim face these are the only glasses i can actually wear without having them stick out to far! but the fit is great in fact its easy to forget there even on your face, but no i wouldnt reccomend them for racing they fog up quite easily, but they do look great as pre race wear
