Strengths:
The bike frame's been through it all, hasnt cracked on me yet.. Now THAT im REALLY surprised from the stress it's been through. Id' have to say the best strength is that it's LIGHT as air!! I could pick the bike up with my pinky, no lies!
Weaknesses:
Bottom Bracket breaks easily i've found from just givin' er up hills , she clicks when stress has reached its max giving a " click " at its stress point peddeling. The RST shocks defentally give, if you dont maintain them ( wich is one hell of a job ) Defenally RST shocks = garbage for this bike , should have deffentally put in somthing bit more for this bike.

Any other mountain type bike, i prefer the free-ride most defentally , with a hard tail aswell, i like full, but sometimes its too heavy/squishy ... Banshee's freeride full susp. Other than that rocky mounatin soul etc...

The bike's been great!! Its amazing the air you can launch off with such a light bike, its been through hell & back let's say. I'ts been the bike that has introduced me into a world of insane biking, free ride bikes, full suspension. I would defentally reccomend this bike to ANYONE who wants to initiate into the world of throwing you're self into jumps , trees, dirt, mud, rain, concrete. The bike's been ghosted and has lasted down a hill for 44 seconds untill she dropped. Now thats amazing. The bikes just tottally killer to upgrade too, take the stupid decal's off, ( wich arnt many ) and she looks beautiful. It was an amazing bike for the 99's untill now. makes it look like crap. Honestly the bottom line, since i've got her pumped up with the tires, the shox dont mean much now, but iv'e got heads turning , kids pointing at the bike, people love it! Defentally a great bike for beginners.

Bottom Line:
I put in a review when I just got the bike and thought it was good then... Wow! What a difference! This bike is totally different than what I first thought it to be! This bike has turned from something to ride into an investment. The secret is to build around the frame and drop everything else!!!

Most of the components, although they're great for an entry level rider.

Bottom Line:
This is a great entry level bike. The price was great. It allowed me to gain experience. The components have to be upgraded as you go. As you can see the only original part of my bike is the frame. This bike is good for anyone wanting to get into mountain biking. I give it a five because although I upgraded I had no trouble with the previous components.

This is a great bike for any rider up to advanced (with some upgrades of course...Shocks), but it is very comfortable, distributes your weight nicely, and has a good turn radius. I recommend this to all you trail lovers out there!

Very good starter bike, i especially like the frame. You get a good bike considering the amount of $ you spend.
Weaknesses:
RST 281 shocks. chain rings, and cranks. Rims un-true very easily.

Strengths:
This is the perfect starter bike. It combines a great frame with Shimano components. No no-name brand parts on this bike. The RST shock isn't the greatest but for the money it's great. It isn't adjustable but it eats up bumps and roots well. Shimano derailleurs are ok but are still entry level. Do not cut off the boots on the shock!!!! Other then that a great entry level bike.
Weaknesses:
RST 281 - not adjustable Shimano low-end components: don't get them wet or they won't work. Alex rims: go un-true really quickly
