Strengths:
Looks are awesome
Weaknesses:
Water Bottle Location
Bike Setup:
Rino Lites, Azonic Shorty Stem, Deore shifters, Psylo front shock, Hussefelt DH cranks with Axiom Platforms, Intense 2.7 front tire and Maxis 2.3 rear, Dual Hayes, fox RC
Bottom Line:
This bike is the 2000 model. I use it for mostly Urban riding and dirt jumping. The Geometry is great for this type or riding. I upgraded parts as they broke and I now have a sweet bike. The psylo is one of the best forks I have used and for only $199Us, $365can shipped from www.JensonUsa.com and is perfect for this bike. So far the bike held up well except the rear shock. Had it replaced 3 times and eventualy put a Fox RC which gives it 5" of rear travel. All together I paid around $2500 Can for a light (weighs 31 pounds) do everything bike. I know this is susposed to be a Cross country bike but is seems to be holding up well. Has great potential. I sort of wish I bought a VPS though. (stronger)

Strengths:
Grimeca hyd front disc brake Terrific ride - Great handling Easy climbing Rear shifting. Shimano XT: fast & flawless when set up right
Weaknesses:
Grip shifts - replaced them with Shim XT's Rear brake pads - replaced them with Kool Stops Front Shifter from med to high when it gets mudded up Seat (doesn't every bike come with a bad one?) Water bottle. - where else you gonna put it?
Similar Products Used:
Infinity whatever. Full susp Other so called mtn bikes
Bike Setup:
Changed grips shifts to XT's - incredibly better difference Changed rear pads to Kool-Stops. Excellent stopping power now See above. Also put on a big fat saddle. Custom made a rear bike rack to the frame seat post
Bottom Line:
I weigh 235, 6'4". My last bike just about killed me in an accident. I needed much better control, size, performance... This large frame bike was highly recommended due to my size and weight. I cannot say enough about the machine ONLY AFTER THE MODS were carried out. The Mar. Z5 front forks take just about anything I throw at it although it takes some tweaking (one shock is set about 5 lbs higher than the other and that gives it full travel and an excellent ride). Front brake is absolutely super with great control and better than the best V-brakes anywhere. With hard braking, it gets very hot!! so don't touch it! Front Shimano drlr ought to be upgraded to handle mud. Rear XT is precise and lightning fast and accurate. I need an overdrive gear for high speed travel! I am a big man and ride hard. Well done Norco.

Strengths:
Looks Awssome Peddles uphill
Weaknesses:
Water Bottle Location (under the bike) Needs more Travel (for what I use it for)
Similar Products Used:
Kona Stinky, Brodie Thumper, Brodie Enduro, Super 8
Bike Setup:
Bomber Z.1 Drop off fork, Gremica hydro disk brakes, Vinalla coil over rear shock. Ryno lite rims.
Bottom Line:
I have the 2000 model and it looks great. It is orange and grey with orange bombers. I have abused this bike and it was taking it untill about a month ago. I tried to gap 4 flights of stairs and I landed between the 3 and 4 flight on flat. I cracked the rear swingarm, the pivot and smashed off the head tube. I got a new frame under warenty and tried a 40 foot gap on our dirt course and flew right into the landing. I smashed off the steer tube on the fork and cracked the head set. I recomend not using this bike for what I do. Use it for what it was designed for, Cross Country. Right now I have a Santa Cruz super 8 and I love it. Rember XC only.

Strengths:
- Strong Frame - Good front and rear shocks - Grimeca front hydraulic disk brake - Light for a strong dual suspension
Weaknesses:
- Water bottle holder. (It's undeerneath the main tube)
Similar Products Used:
GT XCR 4000, Kona Mokomono
Bike Setup:
- Replaced third gear with a ring god.
Bottom Line:
I have the 2000 model and it came equiped with wicked grimeca brakes. I paid 1399 canadian for it and it is the best investment I have ever made. You can launch this bike off anything and it eats it up. Plus you can still ride it up hill. The '99 and'00 models are great and it looks like the '01 is going to be just as good as long as you replace the jett front shocks on it with a bomber z-5.

Bottom Line:
plz note, i'm commenting on the 2000mdl and its the best bike i've owned - the front disk was updated from cable to grimeca hydrolic, it rocks. this bike is like no other, the canadianas really know how to make a pushie - the colour combo is amazing, mine came with bright orange Zokes to match the orange decals on the bike, grey and orange look fantastic! - if you can, get one [only 14 of these bikes down under in OZ]. stop reading and start riding......
