Date Reviewed: March 19, 2007
Favorite Trail:Anything off pavement really.
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $540.00
Purchased At:Hub Cycle
Strengths:Solid frame (awesome color, forest green!) Nice shifters, Tires have great grip, very good on gravel and loose dirt, Nice stopping power, all around good offroad bike, pritty much a 2 wheeled man powered jeep.
Weaknesses:I have not had many problems, gone through several tubes, the rubber protectors that keep dirt out of the shocks came loose but easily fixed with some electrical tape, My rims needed tightening but i haven't bent them yet.
Similar Products Used:None
Bike Setup:Stock but i am considering changing rims this summer due to the many problems i have heard about them.
Bottom Line:I am not an extreme rider, i do some light jumping but mostly off road trail riding. This is an excellent all around off road bike for general use, but probably not the best choice for more extreme riding styles. I have put 1000 k on my bike in a little under a year and it has been a joy to ride.

Date Reviewed: May 6, 2006
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $659.00
Purchased At:duke
Strengths:frames is strong and derailer and shifters work good. i like the front and rear dicks breaks they were always there when i needed them,(lol), seat takes some getting use to. the 26" x 2.35" kenda kinetics were pretty sweet but mud sticks to them like crazy,(should be a problem if your going fast enough it will fly right off)
Weaknesses:in the first month the had to get the head set fixed the a week later i had to get a totaly new one put in. and the shocks arent for doing drops more then 3 feet if i would have keep the bike longer then the month i did i would have had to get new front shocks.
Similar Products Used:im getting the norco bigfoot in a couple day, (i hear good things about it)
Bike Setup:all stock
Bottom Line:not a back trail bike but not for free ride jumps or any big drops. fun while it lasted. so dont buy this bike think it will be good for free ride, like i did :p im an idiot some times,

Favorite Trail:Noino
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $750.00
Purchased At:Bits n Bikes
Strengths:Handlebars, frame, tires
Weaknesses:Forks bent, back rim warped the first day, seat
Bike Setup:Manitou Six forks (cuz the other ones suck) the rest stock
Bottom Line:I would never buy this bike again. Its fine for casual riding, but not for jumps at all, and if you do then you better have money to fix it up.

Date Reviewed: March 23, 2006
Favorite Trail:don't got one
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $200.00
Purchased At:Over the Edge
Strengths:I liked this bike for having a little fun on. It's small and quick for all the little hops and works fair to good on some of trails out here. The fact that it's a hardtail makes it good for what's trail or urban out here and there.
Weaknesses:It's more of a beginner to intermediate ride doing some of the smaller things. This bike isn't meant to go big anywhere near anything big. Also it's not the best for putting suff onto. My body count so far is: 3 left and 1 right crank, seagulled stock handle bars, 2 rear and 1 front derailler, 2 chains, 2 tires, 3 inner tubes, 1 fork, 1 rim, 1 seat and a nasty sacking.
Bike Setup:17" wolverine frame w/24" wheels, Marzocchi DJ 3 120mm, Shimano Hollowtech Crankset, Shimano Deore FD & RD , Truvativ DH Team Handlebar, Raceface Chainguard
Bottom Line:A good intro to riding piece. Got all that I needed out of it at the time. However, I would definitely recommend a drastic upgrade or change before moving into the great beyond. But overall, a fun little beater to ride

Date Reviewed: August 28, 2003
Favorite Trail:lots and lots in the Comox Valley
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $450.00
Purchased At:Black's
Strengths:Value, value, value. The frame! A disc brake!
Weaknesses:Components are probably on the weak side (buying a quality frame for this price means Norco had to trim somewhere) but for someone starting out an acceptable trade-off. Could have used a disc rear hub with the V brake for ease of upgrade.
Similar Products Used:Looked at Kona, Giant
Bike Setup:12.5" Stock (for now).
Bottom Line:Looked around for an all purpose bike for my 10 yr old that can go from trails to downhill. Needed a bomb proof bike that he can toss around like a kid wants to do and I can feal safe that the bike can hold up to the punishment. One more fearless kid in the wings who will be using the bike in a few years and wanted something that will last. Expect to upgrade the bits as time goes by but a solid foundation. This is a great bike for somebody starting out. Excellent frame and upgrade as required. My son is a very proud owner and can't keep him off the trails now (his last bike was a piece of s#@& and wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes).

Date Reviewed: June 28, 2003
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $350.00
Purchased At:brant cycle
Strengths:Strong frame, awsome geometery, light wieght, awsome for freeriding when a new fork is added. Comes with good components. Disc brakes are a big bonus.
Weaknesses:fork, it does not have enough travel for the riding i do, so i had to upgrade to a Manitou Black comp 80/100
Similar Products Used:none
Bike Setup:2003 wolverine, 2003 manitou black comp fork.
Bottom Line:this is probably one of the sickest bikes i have ridden for the price after the fork is upgraded. The whole bike with the new fork cost me about $1100 canadian and was well worth it.
