Strengths:Cool ass white frame. Awsome comps. Nice forks. Good touchy discs
Weaknesses:I dont know who the hell chose to put those crappy bars on such a nice bike and also why would they put on the pedals. Other than that its all good
Similar Products Used:2001 norco Saquatch
Bike Setup:nothing changed except the bars and the pedals. for the bars i have some funn fat boy slims and for the pedals i also have some funn platforms
Bottom Line:if you want a bike that will bring you up and not down this is the bike for you

Favorite Trail:Smoothy
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $2479.00
Purchased At:Oscars Source For Sports
Strengths:Awesome geometry for hills. Everything is so stiff, no flex at all. Handles drops over 10 feet without a flinch. Awesome for freeride and even a bit of trials. Easton RAD looks and rides sweet.
Weaknesses:Paint chips easily, needs Lizard Skin for sure. Singletracks come out of true sometimes. The dirtiest lookin handlebar i've ever seen so i replaced it along with the too long stem before i bought it.
Similar Products Used:Sasquatch, Rampage, Kona Stuff.
Bike Setup:Stock except for new FUNN bar and an 01 Axiom Shore stem.
Bottom Line:This is the best bike that i've ever ridden. I love it. If you don't have one go to your local Norco dealer and get one.

Favorite Trail:Mailbox
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $649.00
Purchased At:Shop
Strengths:This is by far the toughest frame I've ridden. Concidering how beefy the build is it's surprisingly light. I figure I'll be hammering on this frame for years to come. If you're into a tough bike that is made to beat on and are not too worried about the weight, this is the ride to have!
Weaknesses:Maybe more color options? Other than that, none.
Similar Products Used:Stumpjumper hard tail 98', Kona Chute.
Bike Setup:XT Disc brakes, Race Face Diabolus stem, Race face riser bar, Mavic 36 hole 521DH rims, XT drivetrain with XTR rear deraileur, Thompson seatpost, King headset.
Bottom Line:Buy one!

Favorite Trail:Whopper Drop
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Purchased At:Warranty - Norco
Strengths:Strong - The frame is surprisingly strong... extremely light when you pic it up ... but strong as any frame you'll ever ride. Light - I only received the frame, thus with all my other components (xc oriented) the bike is very light.... weighs almost the same as my old bike (98 torrent). Geometry - the frame is a medium.... very small compared to other bikes.... but i love it! its very nice to ride and not too small to travel far on! lowering the seat to do what ever you want... and then raising it to bike home... very versitile! Quality - nothing wrong yet!
Weaknesses:I'm not running disk brakes so there is no place to put my front derailer housing because of the v-brakes... the bike was designed for disk brakes! Paint - White..you can get it dirty quite fast! and the paint chips pretty easily.???

Bike Setup:Fork - Marzocchi z1
Cranks - Alivio
brakes - Lx
Rear d - xt
Shifters - xt
Bottom Line:You get what you pay for.

Submitted by Christopher Sutzko a Downhiller from Dallas, PA, USA
Date Reviewed: March 5, 2002
Favorite Trail:technical
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $1225.00
Purchased At:Bike Doctor
Strengths:So far everything...the frame is rigid and solid. i'm loving the singletrack rims, have taken a few 3-4 foot drops no problem, love the funn seat..check out their web site, they have some cool stems and i never heard of them before i bought this bike. the axiom components are obviously made with durability in mind. love the raceface crank and bash guard set up. The dirt jumper 1 is super!
Weaknesses:weight... i knew it was gonna be heavy, but 33lbs...i guess that the price you pay for durability. The rapid fire deore shifters and the hayes brake levers just don't mix well. i'll go grip shift when they need to be replaced. I also cracked the hayes break lever right off on the third ride...it's composite material...they need to go aluminum.
Similar Products Used:none, this is my first "freeride" hardtail.
Bike Setup:Stock, check out the web site...it does say it has 8 inch rotors, but it comes with 6.
Bottom Line:Love it! is great in the air, precise handling on singletrack and will take a beatin! Buy it from canada, i paid $1225 from the bike doctor..it's a pain in the butt, and you have to wait two weeks, but for $400 it's worth it to me.

Weaknesses:Came with 6" rotors but website says 8"
Handlebar should have more rise
Similar Products Used:GT Aggressor,Kona Chute
Bike Setup:Hayes 8"Hydraulic
Bottom Line:A great value for the components. This is a hardtail for the hardcore. If you're into freeriding and still like to climb hills and park benches then this bike is a must.
