    Favorite Trail:n/a-i jump
    Duration Product Used:2 Years
    Price Paid: $247.00
    Purchased At:United Cycle
Strengths:Looks cool, good frame, most excellent brakes, cranks
Weaknesses:Rims, i had to replace the back one twice, pedals, they are plastic and they suck, the shifters dont work well, handlebars, mine snapped-I currently have salvaged BMX handlebars on it
Bike Setup:Upgraded back rim to double wall. Currently have BMX handle bars on it
Bottom Line:This bike will serve the recreational rider well, because it is good for cross country and commuting. Do not use it for jumping!

Submitted by Lindsay a Weekend Warrior from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
    Date Reviewed: June 23, 2004
Favorite Trail:trails around "The Bench" in Jasper
    Duration Product Used:1 Year
    Price Paid: $300.00
    Purchased At:United Cycle
Strengths:Sturdy, fast, awesome winter commuting bike. Handles deep snow and ice really well. Can get over pretty much anything and easy to get up the hills. Awesome seat. Good entry level bike for the price.
Weaknesses:Shocks are hard, I'b be replacing them if I wasn't already getting a new bike. Shifting is a bit unrealiable. Brakes need daily adjustment.
Bottom Line:Not a bad bike at all, but after a year of being 'bitten my the mountain bike bug', I'm looking for something better, prob dual suspension. It'll still be my faithful commuting bike, though.

    Date Reviewed: June 19, 2004
    Favorite Trail:MotoCross
    Duration Product Used:3 months
    Price Paid: $400.00
    Purchased At:Bike Doctor
Strengths:Frame is very stronge and durable, I love how the shocks take the hits and how you can shift quickly.
Weaknesses:The rims have been holding up and havent broke yet but i figure it will happen soon, not good in mud and I have had to ajust the breaks several times already becouse of the springs.
    Similar Products Used:GT
    Bike Setup:n/a
Bottom Line:A very good beginers bike and will last along time if you take care of it. I would recomend getting better rims and make shur that you get clipins or toe clips becouse you can lose control easly, the frame is amazingly strong and is very good for going down stares and doing bunny hops and weelys. but for alittle more money i would get suggest getting a better bike.

Submitted by Adam a Weekend Warrior from Ontario
    Date Reviewed: July 3, 2002
    Duration Product Used:1 Year
    Purchased At:Pedal Power
Strengths:Paid 380 canadian. It is my first really good mountain and i haven't ever had a problem with it. The shocks took care of all the bumps and jumps. The steel frame is light and strong. I love the quick fire shifters
Weaknesses:The only thing i don't like is that it dosen't have much ground clearence so you have to hit jumps with alot of. You also loose a lot of power with shicks
    Bike Setup:stock
Bottom Line:great beginer bike and price. Also every one to be able to get into mountain biking with a good stong reliable bike.

Submitted by Dennis a Weekend Warrior from Fergus, Ont. Canada
    Date Reviewed: May 24, 2002
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
    Price Paid: $200.00
Strengths:Light weight, looks strong and has good brakes and shifters. Really like the shifters telling which gear I am in.
    Similar Products Used:Raleigh Hybird
    Bike Setup:as purchased
Bottom Line:Am not a weekend warrior, am an old 57 year old man with artificial knees and just having heart surgery. I do however want to get strong again and am slowly increasing my riding time. Have very little riding experience lately, but like the feel of this bike and purchased it on sale for 325.00 Canadian. Am going to this year give it a full workout and see if it helps me get fit again, but than again any bike would do that.

Strengths:Very light. good brakes fast shifts except some times when down shifting
Weaknesses:Rims suck i have gone through like 3-5 sets in the time i have owned it Derailers
    Similar Products Used:Gt
Bike Setup:everything origanal excet the rims i replaces
Bottom Line:A quick, light hardtail that can take so abuse... but it can't handle a little mud... For the price i would say it is the best bike i have bought. But pay a little more and get a sidewinder there much better and i think there only like $50 more
