Favorite Trail:Sofa King
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Price Paid: $900.00
Purchased At:Russ Hays
Strengths:Good Components, fork can be ajusted easily.
Weaknesses:Needs Lock-Ons. tires suck(stupid kenda kinetics, upgrade to nokian or maxxis). Brakes are screwy. Rims are heavy. Bike doesnt climb(not that i care about that!)
Similar Products Used:Specialized Big Hit
Bike Setup:dj3, hayes hfx-9, alex rims, race face crank, bottom bracket, handlebar and stem and nokian tires.
Bottom Line:Good for your money. some stuff needs to be upgraded. good for beginner-intermediate riders. good on dirt jumps! if youre a dirt jumper or learning to freeride(on a hardtail) this would be a good bike for you.

Favorite Trail:BlackSnotts / Nerang
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $1500.00
Purchased At:Peadal Shopp Runaway Bay
Strengths:THIS IS FOR THE 2006 SASQUATCH IF SOMEONE READS THIS!!!
Great frame Geo, the bar and the goose neck are truvative, the rukiton cranks, cluster and mech,Hayes Hfx-9 8" rotors!
Weaknesses:the weak SDG seat so blows goats!! the brake lines are way too close to the spokes for my liking! the wussy chain guard that de-stickered itself after being taken from the box! the alivio shifters!! so GAY!!!!
Similar Products Used:Haro 8.1, Norco RYDE, 125, Kona Stuff etc
Bike Setup:at the moment, DJ 4's have 25 pount and standard rebound settings as its a commuter bike untill i can see some dirt! basic setup untill 1 year waranty period ends! but some minor tweaking now to then!!
Bottom Line:the 2006 Sasquatch is a great bike derived from a history of building great bikes, Norco in 2006 have built a massive frame that doesnt sound tinny as most others do and have used some impressive and some let down compoenents! i would say as being a well educated rider in both street and in the dust that this bike will hold whatever i can dish! overall if anyone wants a great bike for a moderate cash exchange, spend a little more on a better seat the SDG blows but the bike is all balls!!!

Favorite Trail:Arran
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $1200.00
Purchased At:Alpine bikes
Strengths:Bombproof frame, Z1 forks, truative crankset
Weaknesses:Rear 'v' (c'mon), bar/stem, tyres (terrible on wet concrete), brake levers.
Similar Products Used:Kona Roast
Bike Setup:Stock Norco with Easton bar, Funn stem, Tioga DH tyres.
Bottom Line:This bike is amazing for the price but why do manufacturers' persist with mech discs when people would rather pay extra for hydros. If you can buy just the frame and forks, do it and build the rest. You can then have a bike which would whip the Orange msile for less than $1500. A great buy for urban jumpers or crazy freeriders who don't mind the extra upgrade work. Build on!!

Strengths:FRAME, Front Rim
Weaknesses:This bike works like a dream for bout a month. The disc tabs on the fork ripped off, Shifters broke, Rear Rim gets flat spots really easily, Bars too long, stock brakes suck.

Price Paid: $1000.00
Purchased At:Macs Cycle Center
Strengths:Solid Frame, Componests do the job, Nice Forks, Looks Great, Nice to at least have one disk
Weaknesses:RIMS SUCK, I bend them just about every ride and im only 150, i keep getting flats too, forks are too squishy and bottom out on drops/jumps above 4 feet
Similar Products Used:Kona Stuff
Bike Setup:Stock but with an old innertube wrapped around the stay on the chain side to keep the chain from hitting
Bottom Line:This Bike has been a source of endless frustration for me but after all the work getting it back in one piece after a ride, its a beauty to bomb thru just about anything on. Strengths:This is an update from my other review below. This bike is awesome. It takes 3 - 5ft drop offs no problem. Shifts smoothly, and brakes well. Going to get a Hayes disc for the rear as well. Only had to true the rear rim once because i broke a spoke.
Weaknesses:Bottom bracket came loose alot, but was replaced by warrenty, other than that the bike takes all the hits i dish out. Pedals also wore out quickly, but were replaced with cliplless. A little heavey for XC, but what do you expect??

Strengths:Great bike for the price. I doubt you'd be able to find another bike with a 5 inch travel fork for that price. Everything feels solid so far. Price is excellent if you don't want to spend too much. Feels very solid.
Weaknesses:Front deralleurs doesn't shift very well. Gotta tune it up to prevent the chain from skipping. I think the stem is a little too long. And the handlebar doesn't have enough rise on them. Nothing too serious
Similar Products Used:Kona Stuff. Norco Rampage

Bottom Line:This is a great for the $$. It rides very solid. Get a chainstay because the paint chips off very easily, leaving white circles on it. The bars don't have enough rise to it, which really sucks. Other than that, the bike rocks! I'd suggest you to upgrade to a better bar when you buy it.

Weaknesses:Brakes could be better
Bike Setup:THE fender, full lizard skins
Bottom Line:Im not that big (140) for my age(14) so the fork doesnt bottom as easy as ppl say. i mostly urban, trails, and make the biggest jump i can at my friends house(The ditch!) so it does a great job for me ,and what i do.

Strengths:this bike is a f*cking nice bike for the money... i got it for only 1400 Canadian, with tax.the frame on this bike kicks ass. its durable, great for jumping and for the big drops

Strengths:The frame is super burly. Everything on this bike is workng great. Great freeride/urban hardtail that u can ride up hill as well(if u really want ;)ha!)
Weaknesses:Wish there was a bigger rise on risers plus there a bit long so u might want cut em down, Ive got haves mech front and rear, they where weak to begin with but are breaking in nicely so ill have to c how much more power i get out of em. Definutly need a lizard skin for ur chain stay. The paint chips very easily and leaves a bunch of white circles on ur stays. Also the stem is a bit longer than i like it. But it will be easier to go up a hill with that one.

Bike Setup:All stock except a rear disk (soon to be hydros) and a lizaqrd skin.Saving my money to upgrade th parts i listed in weaknesses

Strengths:actually I ride the 01 Sasquatch, but they haven't changed much. The fork, the frame, cranks, and front disk brake are awesome
Weaknesses:the seat (which they've improved on the 02 model) and i wasn't too crazy about the shifters (which they've also changed this year)
Similar Products Used:none, I've just finished my rookie season and i'm in my mid 20's. Never too late!
Bottom Line:This bike rules. It is absolutely the best buy for a hard tail free ride and in my books does pretty well on the trails too. If/when I upgrade, you can bet your last dollar it's going to be a Norco.
