Submitted by Trucker a Weekend Warrior from Melbourne, Australia
Date Reviewed: August 14, 2003
Favorite Trail:Clingsbourne
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $1500.00
Purchased At:Bike Now, Echuca
Strengths:Awesome frame, takes anything. Moves in the air like its a bmx. sweet cranks. downhills pretty well too
Weaknesses:bars are dodgy, f.u.n.n levers are cheap, axiom bmx seat isn't too flash. bit heavy. didn't really like the 24/24 wheel combo. 26/24 or 26/26 would be sweet. hydro's would be good. snapped the pedal axles. needs more travel
Similar Products Used:Norco Torrent, Banshee Morphine (sweetest bike ever), Trek Bruiser 2, Avanti Hotdog
Bike Setup:250 frame, perv cranks, funn sol jam viper pedals, '03 DJ1, ONE-ONE dh bars, Sun double track 26/24 wheel combo, hayes 8" hydro, Maxxis High Roller, Rohloff internal hub(gotta try one of these babys, unreal!), funn launch pad seat,
Bottom Line:sweet bike. buy frame only or change a few parts and you will not regret the purchase. handle anything except uphill

Submitted by Jeremy Wilder a Weekend Warrior from Salem, Oregon USA
Date Reviewed: May 8, 2003
Favorite Trail:Skateparks
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $900.00
Purchased At:Santiam Bicycle
Strengths:Great geometry, strength, BMX bottom bracket. Nimble handling. BMXer influenced design, begs to be jumped.
Weaknesses:Hayes front mech brake, three inch fork.
Similar Products Used:santa cruz chameleon
Bike Setup:4" Marzo DJ2 fork, deore disk rear, 26" front, Hookworms, Easton monkeys, Pig headset
Bottom Line:This is a killer bike, after you switch a few parts. The three-inch fork makes the front IMPOSSIBLE to get up, so I swapped for a 4, along with taller Easton bars. Be aware that the cranks are 170mm, not 175mm. The way I have it set up is great. It is so nimble and yet stable. 360s, no problem. Point the front wheel and the a$s follows. I am an old-scholl bmxer and the suspension allows me to jump again without failed wrists. As burley as this bike is, it is very forgiving. 4130 FOREVER!!!

Wasn't what i wanted but that what happens if you listen to the poxy bike dealer.
