Favorite Trail:
The Way - Hornby Island
Duration Product Used:
Less than 1 month
Purchased At:
LBS
Strengths:
stiff sidewalls so can run low pressure, grips well on loose stuff and hard pack, holds well on corners, floats well through sand but gets traction, rolls well
Weaknesses:
Its a little heavy
Similar Products Used:
nothing this heavy on the rear. Replaces a Panaracer 2.1 XC Fire
Bike Setup:
single speed steel hardtail, rigid fork, Continental Deisel 2.5 up front
Bottom Line:
I've been testing this tire out on different terrain and it has performed well as an all round tough tire. Its barely 2.2 inches but that means it fits well in the stays with lots of clearance. I can run it around 30 psi and get lots of grip. The DH like construction means I can keep momentum up and the rear tire can take hits without threatening to pinchflat. Finally found a rear tire that works for my riding style and terrain.
