Favorite Trail:N/A
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Purchased At:gift from Co-workers
Strengths:This bike is higly durable against dirt buildup and corrosion for the terrain I use it on. The suspension has outstanding performance for the thick gravel and dirt I ride on.
Weaknesses:Stock gear ratio is a little weak for what I am looking for. Thinking up upgrading...
Similar Products Used:Mongoose Blackcomb, Trek Y33, Many more
Bike Setup:Mozo front suspension, Kenda Keyote tires, Mozo 650 lb/in coil rear suspension. Shimano Altus Mega range drivetrain.
Bottom Line:Good quality bike for the beginner trail rider or for someone who rides through gravel and dirt all day and sees no roads made of asphalt...

Favorite Trail:RothRock
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $289.00
Purchased At:eBay
Strengths:This bike is very strong, the frame give you the capabilities to upgrade with nicer parts which make this bike even better. I have this bike for about a year, and I this bike have done the job. I have ridden this bike in almost all kind of mt terrain from non technical to technical trails.
Weaknesses:The only weakness of this bike is the rear shock, it broke a few weeks ago, since it is an entry level shock and I took it to the over the limit. The bike feels heavy with all the stock parts, but becomes lighter with nicer parts.
Similar Products Used:Giant Boulder, Giant NRS
Bike Setup:Fork-Mozo USA R-150A, Front Der-Shimano C-050, Rear Der-Shimano DeoreLX(Upgrade), Avid BB5 Disk Break set(Upgrade)
Bottom Line:I have the 2004 model, so far I am satisfied with the performance of the bike. It have a nice frame, the components are entry level and can be upgrade for nicer and lighter ones. The bike is a very good beginner bike. I think that the only weakness of this bike is the rear suspension. I will recommend this bike for people that are getting into the sport. This bike is meant to be for cross country and it should be ridden as a cross country bike, NO Free Style or DH.
