No matter if i go up or down, do drops of a couple of feet or ride at every single track i find I'm Just glad of my wallet saving bike doing do the work of a cash eating frame. I had a leather arse after my fist race (25 km - it took me a while). Also, the geometry keeps me upright. - don't know if this is a strength or weakness. Alex Rims, Kendo tires | | Weaknesses: | Tektro mechanical brakes - the rears need to be adjusted(tightened) regularly and are mot very responsive but the fronts are great. I am thinking of replacing the rear's with Shimano LX V-Brakes (cheaper than hydraulic disks). Have had to adjust the front derailleur several times - considering upgrading to Deore from Acera. | | Similar Products Used: | GT Avalanche 2 - also very maneuverable. | | Bike Setup: | Stock. Added clip-less pedals, BBB carbon bar-ends, chain stay protector and tire liners. Acera derailleur's, Kendo tires, Alex rims, Cane Creek headset, Mozo Vibe-R 80 mm. I also lowered the handle bars to reduce the upright riding position. | | Bottom Line: | Aside from the large (21 inch) frame which makes the bike way too big for me (5'7) and the crap rear brakes, it is excellent. No punctures, no rims buckling.
Fun to ride. If the frame was the right size I'm sure it would get a 5.

They barely have any travel and are RST. Tthe tires pop easily and the rims bend so much I can't even keep track of how many times i've replaced them. This is the kind of bike you expect to find at Wal-Mart. | | Similar Products Used: | I used to have a Mongoose Signature BMX, but that broke too. And guess where I got it... Wal-Mart. | | Bike Setup: | Pretty much stock, except the new tires and rims I keep changing. | | Bottom Line: | This bike is alright for someone who is just starting to get into biking. If your light and hit very many jumps it's a great bike. But for someone like me (6'3", 225lbs.) it's not that great. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

The only major drawback I can see so far is the weak ProMax disc brakes. ( soon to be replaced with avid mech ) | | Similar Products Used: | GT Avalanche 2.0 | | Bike Setup: | stock | | Bottom Line: | Great bike for beginers, or those who don't have thick wallets (like me) I have close to 150 miles on it within the first two weeks of owning it.
