$800.00 | | Strengths: | Very fast on downhill. The first review guy is a retard! | | Weaknesses: | Pivot points need to be lubed ever so often. | | Similar Products Used: | lot's of hard tails. | | Bike Setup: | amp2 xc 700's lx/xt | | Bottom Line: | If you can pict one up used go for it. Just make sure the pivot points back by the casset are ok. Also check the pivot point up by the shock. And make sure the seals on the bottom pivot point are intact. Just rember you gotta put grease on the two lover and one uper pivots every 500 or so miles.

from Tucson,AZ,USA Date Reviewed: November 14, 1998 | | Bottom Line: | this bike is a O.K. performer. It has 3 inches of active travel but the pivots ware out quickly. this could be forgiven if the company wasn't complete incompent turds. In auguest I order the bearing pivots from the shop where the bike was purchased, an authorized Mongoose dealer who is still carring this brand. It is now the middle of november and the company still has not sent the parts. They sent replacements that arrived Oct 21st but left out the main bearing. They only sent two out of three needed to do the job. The rear triangle now has 1/2' of play back and forth and is totally unrideable. The last thing the rep said was they had sent it but it was lost in the mail and there was no way to track it. The kicker is They said they don't have any left in the wherehouse. They said they would give me a hat the next time the rep comes in. How stupid do they think I am, I can't ride because of their screw ups and they want me to be a walking billboard for them. This company is complete shit. | Overall Rating: |
