$400.00 | | Strengths: | Great look, hugs rack, you can confidently throw it at anything cos it takes the knocks... and smiles:) | | Weaknesses: | Gets a lot of 'chain-slap' on the rough terrain. | | Bike Setup: | All the usual suspects - no modifications (yet) | | Bottom Line: | A great wee steal indeed. Mongoose seems to have listened to all the criticism over the 1999 model (ie low quality paint job, crappy Indy forks, and just generally shabby componentry). The manitou shocks are far superior - and a good starting place for any weekend racer wanna-be (great travel, responsive and low maintenance). Love the frame - good weighting, strong and looks good. Disc brake ready. And no probs with the paint job. Recommend this bike to absolutely anyone. Love this bike! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
