a Weekend Warrior
from Canada Date Reviewed: June 25, 2001 | | Duration Product Used: | 2 Years | | Strengths: | -Great Frame geometry -Pretty good components for the price -Frame is great so far! | | Weaknesses: | -The bike weighs about 29 lbs, so its kinda heavy!
| | Bike Setup: | Stock setup but changed pedals and other small things | | Bottom Line: | This bike has lasted almost 3 years for me, and it hasnt shown any damage at all! I love to take jumps on the bike and (but i weigh about 130 lbs)nothing has ever broken on me! I havent changed any parts or components, just added. The fork is nice a plush, but the rebound is quite harsh and it likes to bounce alot! Oil rebound would be nice but its still pretty good and not worth changing. I wouldnt recommend the bike for racing or anything but is a great bike for a weekend Warrior. The bike is a quite heavy for aluminum frame( i could never find out if the frame is double butted but i dont think it is) but i can live with it! If you need an entry level bike! this is great !! i have even seen this bike set up with a Rock Shox Double Crown fork for Dual slalom use so it has potential! But for the money, it would be nice to have a double butted frame!! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
