Favorite Trail:the rockey hard stuff
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
Price Paid: $450.00
Purchased At:custum cycle
Strengths:Has a great frame and componets are pretty good. there are a few that could be replaced but overall it is a great bike
Weaknesses:the quality of brakes that it has need to be replaced but other than that the bike is great
Similar Products Used:Gary fisher hoo koo e koo
Bike Setup:I like the size of the bike, great for the average person and can handle anything you want to put it through.
Bottom Line:This bike is something that if you were to buy you would love the way it looks, handles, and feels. there isn't anything you can't do with it and it will last you a long time. i totally reconment this bike for anyone.

Favorite Trail:LSF
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $370.00
Purchased At:Performance Bike
Strengths:Smooth shifting, frame can take a beating
Weaknesses:Components (rims especially) could use an upgrade, but you can make do with the stock
Similar Products Used:Diamondback, Scorpio
Bike Setup:Dumped stock forks for Manitou's purchased at Supergo.com. Also replaced rear rim for double sided one.
Bottom Line:Great ride for weekend riding and occasional racing. Friend just purchased an $1100 Specialized that has been giving him fits. Tires are slick on mud, or leafy trails. For the price it can't be beat!

Favorite Trail:desert classic/T100
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $300.00
Purchased At:eBay
Strengths:strong, well spec'd for the $, reliable.
Weaknesses:You might want a better fork. Not light or trick enough to race, but racers don't buy $300 bikes!
Similar Products Used:several
Bike Setup:'95 RockShox Mag 21, wellgo clipless pdls, stock front tire, Geax Sedona rear
Bottom Line:I love my bike! I got a good deal on the fork- much better than the jett (or indy s) that came stock. My bike is a '98 closeout that I got for a song. I ride hard 1-2 times a week, it has never let me down. Mostly Shimano, some no-name or Mongoose components, all very capable- no problems. Great entry-level/intermediate ride out of the box. For better performance, upgrade fork and pedals. The frame and components are worthy. Mongoose makes real bikes, too, not just WalMart/Costco specials!

Favorite Trail:
anywhere where theres dirt
Duration Product Used:
6 months
Strengths:
great quality components for the price. built nice and strong.
Weaknesses:
standard tires are a too slippery in the mud.stock stem is way too long.set up like a cross country bike it just doesnt handle the dirt
Similar Products Used:
raceline enduro
Bike Setup:
junk the stock stem, add something shorter and a set of riser bars + a set of decent tires like velocoraptors, bit heavy but so what no punctures.now it handles
Bottom Line:a great bike for the money even in aust it cost under $950. awesome way to start getting into the dirt on a bike that wont let you down.
