Yes, it has many scratches now from riding thousands of miles in Arizona to Utah to Nevada to California, but the frame is holding up fine. I have grown to truely love this bike because it has taken me anywhere and back with load of fun. The Fairlane is definitely a better and stronger frame.
Have done a few drops around 3feet (1 metre) to flat landings, and to also to rolling landings, and this bikes is a natural. I would class this bike for the type of riding that the Kona Bear series and Specialized Enduro series were made for, and hold its own. Although I think Mongoose made it for DS.
A solid reliable bike that can take a lot, and is a lot of fun to ride doing challenging trails, freeriding or just cruising the streets. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

Inpersonal Mongoose customer service. | | Similar Products Used: | Giant Yukon | | Bottom Line: | All around great trail bike, which is perfect for my style of riding. 4" in the rear, 5" in the front. Climbs fairly well, and goes down well. There is a slight bobbing on climbs, but you cannot really notice it unless you are looking at the rear shock. Not a cross country bike. Head angle is easy to adjust using pipe wrench. Love the tire, psylo fork, and disc brakes. Not the fastest and probably not the strongest bike, but fun, solid all around bike you can throw and huck around, especially for its price. I used to whine about its weight (29 - 30 lb), but hey, it only makes me a stronger climber in the long run. It is not afraid to descend anything. If you cannot afford $3,000 Intense or Santa Cruz, this bike will certainly fill your appetite at half the price. It will also set you apart from ubiquitous Specialized, Trek, and GT crowd, where I live. | | Value Rating:Overall Rating: |
