Purchased At:

Strengths:
just look at it...does that not scream out "HUCK ME"?
Weaknesses:
can't figure out the friggin head tube thing
Similar Products Used:
Giant...GT...nothing this nice
Bike Setup:
Black Diamond frame, LX rear railleur, sis front, 2002 Marzocchi MXC Air fork, Maguara Julie discs, Titec seat, Kore post, Kore Strictly-D bars, uhh...yea
Bottom Line:
Rare bike...Built this one myself for less that 1000 bucks and im not done with it, but even now its just a primo choice for a freeride hardtail. 6 footers arent a problem. Perfect for hucks, jumps, and w/ the 17 inch frame its almost suitable for XC...all for about 30 lbs! Frame isn't overly elaborate, and it leaves alot of room for stickers. If you want to be out of the ordinary and you can find one of these Black Diamond hardtails in the United States, get all over it! The bike shops here havent seen anything like it and agree its a prime piece of metal. For you, diamond, you get 5 flamin' turds

This is a update to my other one........
Weaknesses:
Weakness.....none....except for the FACT THE ITS HAS A F**** PSYLO SL....i made a big mistake getting that fork....had nothing but trouble since day one....first of all none of the adjustments work (ie, rebound, compression dampening etc) At the time i bearly knew anything about mountain bikes so i thought it was normal....but later extending my knowledge i knew that it was not normal at all...the rebound adjust which they say had 90° of adjustment but it was more like 25....and the climb-it-control not which they say had 180° of adjustment only had about 90...in addition we rang steve cramer products up and they said that the damping, rebound all the stuff in the right leg was completly blow!!!!!! How could that happen when i havn't used it at all....i'm not that stupid to let the damping compensate for a soft spring...and they also said that the remaining leg was bent (DUH) and the the steerer tube was bent also!?!?!?! What is this fork ment for...i know in my opinion its for sissy little school girls who only commute...What do other people think???
Bottom Line:
Just letting you that RS is ghey and don't ever get them...... if u do get this bike then ask the dealer to swap it for a Shiver SC or something similiar....this is a great bike...done lots of big drops and its held up well...jsut the fork...thats the only weakness!!!!

Price Paid:
$4229.00
Purchased At:
rossetoes (the bike shop)
Strengths:
Beefy tires with exelent grip, Psylo SL w/20mm thru-axle(shoulda come with a boXXer though), Hayes Hydraulic discs, Shimano XTR and Kore.
Weaknesses:
no 20mm thru-axle on the back, no rear suspension.
Bike Setup:
SERIOUS DH
Bottom Line:
This is an exelent bike to say the least. I have taken off so may big drops (5ft -12ft) the day i got and nothing went wrong. I am continually abusing it but still nothing has gone wrong(apart form the gears being a bit off). Despite the high price tag (for me n e way) is is definatly worth it. Weight is a nother thing that has made me like this bike. I previously had a MongoosePro Zero-G and that was about 20-25kg but the Black Diamond is about 10 maybe a bit more. GET IT NOW!!!
