Favorite Trail:local dirt jups
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
Price Paid: $330.00
Strengths:i love this bike. i have had it for about 4 years and it hasnt failed. i have never bought any upgrades for it.
Weaknesses:the pedals are starting to wear down and the chain and chainwheel are getting rusty. the handlebars and stem are stripped. but i am getting new parts and for everythng it is only going to be 130 bucks. the only weakness that "came" with the bke is thatthe frame is a bit too heavy. but it doesnt really matter too much because idont need to et to much air andit is easier to roll and jut wheelie on practice trails.
Similar Products Used:a few diamondback and haro bikes.
Bike Setup:all stock but getting a s&m dive bar, s&m stem, specialized chainweel, wellgo pedals, generic chain, and ugp grips
Bottom Line:buy this bike if you arent that concerned about a little extra weight and are looking fr a sturdy dirt jumpin bike.

Date Reviewed: January 28, 2002
Favorite Trail:local dirt jumps
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Price Paid: $159.00
Purchased At:Target
Strengths:The stem won't strip and the brakes work good after you get them dialed in. The frame is pretty good for a target bike, very thin tubing on the frame though.
Weaknesses:The seat, it's hard plastic, and the crank is a one piece so that's not good. The brakes stink until you get them dialed in too. Also the upper gyro cable snaps open easily.
Similar Products Used:Mongoose sniper, mongoose hoop-d
Bike Setup:Same frame, xs 2 piece crank, haro mirra pro bars, bullet proof levers, ati pistol grips, new upper gyro cable (oddessey brake line), s@m pedals new, thorn proof tubes, new over size pegs
Bottom Line:So-so frame, mostly for beginners as far as parts go, buy a better bike so you don't have to spend a ton of money on up-grades.

Date Reviewed: December 16, 2001
Favorite Trail:Parking Lots
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $140.00
Purchased At:Target in Port Huron Michigan
Strengths:This bike is good for the money. Good grip on the pegs. Good Tires. this is a light bike at about 33.5 lbs.
Weaknesses:The 2002 is better for $20 less even. Pegs are threaded, and the axles bend easily. plastic seat. plastic pedals. the brakes suck. Either Get new brakes or new brake pads atleast.
Similar Products Used:Mongoose Hoop-D 2001
Bike Setup:I got this bike then i got new handlebars, new pedals, new pegs, new seat, and I switched the frame.
Bottom Line:While this bike costs less then some cranks, I think youd rather have the crank.
