$300.00 | | Strengths: | frame! | | Weaknesses: | components | | Similar Products Used: | ? | | Bike Setup: | many new stuff, sram 7.0 deraileurs, rock shox pilot xc 2005 shimano pd 520 pedals, deore brake levers , tyres etc | | Bottom Line: | the best part of this bike is frame, its stiff and unbreakable:) i think the geometry is ok to, i ride it for more than 2 years and nothing bad happened, the only disadvantage is that i bought a bit to big size;) but it's still ok. this bike is good for somebody who will upgrade his bike succesfully, and finally get HC XC machine:) | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$300.00 | | Purchased At: | Sports Authority | | Strengths: | Handles well; decent fork, saddle, and brakes; comfortable and sturdy | | Weaknesses: | Bottom bracket broke within months, creaky 1-piece crankset, can't add toe clips to stock pedals | | Similar Products Used: | Raleight M30 mtb | | Bike Setup: | this bike / 9-speed cassette / Mavic X618 rims / LX hubs | | Bottom Line: | I think I paid a bit too much for this bike, as I see others got it for < $200. But overall I like it. The fork is pretty decent for a cheap bike. The low-end Shimano derailleurs have worked fine for me, but the crummy bottom bracket and crank have given me endless annoyance.
I can see myself sticking with this frame for a long time, as it is disc-brake ready and I have found it to be very sturdy and comfortable for commuting and light trail use. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$40.00 | | Purchased At: | Ray's | | Strengths: | *Frame review* I just got the frame, and put all the gear off my old bike on board. The frame seems excellent so far and I haven't managed to break it as I did my old one. Good geometry and lightweight. suprisingly nice to ride. | | Weaknesses: | haven't found any weaknesses as of yet, everything seems to be performing well. I can't review the original biek setup as I only got the frame. as far as I can see the frame is excellent and well built. | | Similar Products Used: | Kona Fire Mountain.. good bike until I broke it | | Bike Setup: | Rockadile AL frame, RST Hi 5 forks, Alex rims on LX hubs, tektro V brakes, short stem and Omoeba bars, shimano drive train, deore octalink bb and cranks. Complete bike setup cost me under AUD$400 for a mean DH/DJ/FR bike that takes a lot. | | Bottom Line: | could not get better for the money spent. frame is excellent for the price and looks great! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$180.00 | | Purchased At: | Sports Authority | | Strengths: | The Mongoose Rockadile AL is a perfect bike for the beginning to intermediate rider. I actually had a Mongoose Diverge and exchanged it for the Rockadile AL because I thought the Diverge was heavy and that the suspension was terrible. The Rockadile AL is surprisingly lightweight, yet incredibly durable. The tail may shift on you once in a while (rocky, hilly terrain), but the bike itself is very easy to control. Highly recommended for beginners. | | Weaknesses: | See above | | Similar Products Used: | Mongoose Revolution, Mongoose Diverge | | Bike Setup: | Check out a website. Google.com and enter "Mongoose Rockadile AL" | | Bottom Line: | Great bike for beginning to intermediate riders. Lightweight and durable. Quality front suspension. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
